Got one of those rotissieres about 2 weeks back from a local guy here who sales them in Hemmings. They loaded it on my flat bed and away I went on a 40 mile drive. While not paying attention, a 3 inch 10 ft. long piece of steel tubing slid out into oncoming traffic and I almost took a guys head off!!!:jd: He got stopped and I went to check on him. He is an older gentleman who knew my father and a deal was worked. Had to pay him $800 to repair a $1000 dollar truck, but I still was very lucky. Have too much money in that thing now. Hope it is worth it. You can guess what I thought about doing to the guy who loaded it!:spank:

Did anybody see the episode of Hot Rod TV when they put that El Camino on the rotisserie?

It appeared to me that the first time they turned the car over on it they busted off the driver's side mirror when it hit the floor going around. I hope I can see it again some time to be sure.

Well mine will be coming off of it this week i just welded in my last panel. Its time to go back on the frame so i can put the quarters on. The floors were easy i hope i dont mess up on them. You cant see mistakes on the floors like you will on the quarters. Iwould pay a body man to put them on but i want to be able to say i did this car from head to toe. any body can pay someone else.

Body shops hide their mistakes before you get to see them.:bglasses:

I am doing a 66 Caprice for my father right now. I have the frame out of it and am detailing everything. Found hidden (repaired) rust in the rear floors and trunk. Pissed me off!! Your doing it right by putting metal in. Don't know why they didn't. I rented a pull-behind compressor with sandblaster attactment and it rocked. The frame was clean in about 2 hours where it would have taken 8 to 10 hours with my little pressure pot.
