I joined the broad about a year 1/2 ago. havn"t had too much time to really use it much. I am finally getting to work on my 72 skylark conv. It was originally a 350 2bbl a/c power drum brakes bench seat. i have the frame done and awaiting the body. The frame was sand blasted and painted all new suspension new 3:42 posi rearend. I have the body on the rotisery. I have managed to weld in the trunk floor and the pass side floor . I have started sand blasting everything else under it. hope to see it back on the frame in a few weeks so i can start on the quarters. im a ironworker and i just really got started on it and i get laidoff do to lack work and weather. I got time to work on it now but lack of funds. I"m goning to put together as a 455 bucket seats. A buddy has everything to put a 4 speed in it but don't know if i want to be shifting gears. Or just put it in D and cruise.

Greetings from the other side of Missouri. Sounds like you are farther along with your Skylark than I am with mine.

A belated welcome to the board. :)

That 4 speed question has crossed my mind in the past too. I went with the Turbo 400, but probably will go 4 speed next time. My father is getting some age on him and could not change gears without pain, so I better do it while I can!!! Welcome.

Anyone else got a damaged hood I can get Dan to fix for me ? As long as the scoupes are ok then I'll have him weld it into my flat hood

I wonder what it would look like to weld the air scoops in to work with the SP1?
