.....guy's sign reads "Hungry and Homeless"....so sick of seeing this BS every single day. Literally 90% of businesses are hiring here, and yet you see these lazy f***s on damnnear every street corner. If he'd only turn around and all his problems could be solved....
Said the EXACT same thing to my gf the other day,....be homeless there and never be late to work,...and EVERY church has a food bank,...NO EXCUSES TO BE HUNGRY,...SORRY I don't buy it
I hear some make fat stacks of cash, Begging. When some head home they drive a new car for example. Great pic. Proves your point. He does not want to work.
In a way he is going to work. Probably a pretty tough job degrading yourself day after day begging for handouts. Around here they work shifts on the highway off ramp.
There's one old guy here that pushes his wheelchair to a spot by Walgreen's then sits in it all day holding a "disabled vet" sign.
Used to be a guy here that would walk around the city with an empty gas can asking for money. After a while he disappeared probably as eventually everyone knew about his scam.
The scam around here is a minivan full of kids sitting at a gas pump and the people holding a Bible begging for you to fill their tank. Seen it many times already.
In some communities, it might be more lucrative to beg, than to work. I know a local TV station did a investigative report on this a while back.. followed one guy who claimed he was homeless with a hidden camera, and watched him get money all day at a busy intersection. At the end of the day, he walked two blocks to a nearly brand new 50K Suburban and drove to his home in a well to do suburb. They confronted the guy, who ran off, hiding his face.. but they did a records check with the county, and the house was his, having just been purchased a few years earlier.. this is back when the whole country was selling houses, no money down, no credit check, before the crash of 08/09. This is probably the exception to the rule, but it does happen. JW
Just 2 weeks ago I was sitting Mcd’s eating breakfast with the wife and I ordered an extra breakfast by mistake. A beggar came in asking for a quarter, so I offered her the still wrapped food and she said “I’m good” and proceeded to ask for her quarter. I guess not hungry then huh
Yep warm weather brings out the beggars by us too, a family of 4, parked their minivan begging and McDonald’s right across the way is hiring The worst part is having their kids there too to try and increase donations
NO HOPE WITHOUT DOPE ...this is the problem. they are stacked at i95 exit ramp near my house. I just stop 100ft early, when the doper gets close I just pull up. and so do the cars behind me makes them cover more ground this way
Plenty of jobs around for sure. I understand some of these people are simply not hireable for various reasons but a lot of them look like they’re in better shape than me.
Around Atlanta we get the ‘family’-mother, infant, toddler and father all begging with cardboard signs (sometimes with an electric violin(?)). I’m thinking ‘there’s jobs everywhere at $15 plus an hour, y’all have a car and you have a two parent household; if you can watch the kids while you beg in the Publix parking lot, you can watch the kids while the husband works’. Right now, employers aren’t drug testing and will hire just about anyone. If you’re not standing over a victim holding the weapon, you’re qualified; they’ll overlook almost anything. Patrick
Exactly. There are a small percentage who legitimately can't work, but there are plenty of programs to take care of them. If you are able bodied currently, there is NO excuse to be unemployed. Had a woman come up to me outside the grocery store the other day with the line "Excuse me sir, I'm having a tough time right now...." I cut her off and told her I couldn't help her if she wasn't willing to help herself and I pointed to the "now hiring" sign on the store and told her to go inside.
I'm debating swapping the stage 2 hood and scoop for the GS hood. I like the stage 2 scoop but also like the sleeper look of the stock hood. I dunno.
