I walk by a Pantera and hear a lady asking the owner about his car.

I bet the guy said that all the Skylarks had a rocket 350 and the seller got sick of arguing and threw in an "original" rocket 350 just to shut him up. Now he has the "original" gold motor to include in the resale.

Maybe, he went to AdvanceAutozoneShack, asked for; Buick 350 engine paint.
And, they sold Olds 350 engine paint.

I think they're a car dealer, so it could be fun! Maybe I'll take my GS.

Ever overhear someone claim that "4-4-2" was the engine's displacement?

Or that a Z-28 Camaro with a 302 must have been someone's backyard transplant of a Ford engine into a Camaro?

Thats funny! Reminds me of my buddy John. Big 442 guy. We were cruising around in his 69 442 years back and stopped for gas at a repair shop. The mechanic seeing his car, walked outside the check it out and asked him if he still had the 442 in it.

Pulled in to a local Shell station last weekend.

A young kid comes out (probably 20 years old), and says "Here, you pump it. The car is too nice for me to do it"

    I say "OK"

Then he says "What make is it?"

(It's a 70 442 that has no Oldsmobile badges on it)

    I tell him it's an Oldmobile 442

Then I ask him "Do you know what year it is?"

    He says "mid '80s?"

I just smile and drive away.

One Friend has a Chevelle thats wired. He puts out a small stuffed dog with his leg up on the front tire. He sits some distance away with a remote. The family's gather at the dog--its the bait. He hits remote and the car sounds like a fart! Wife and Kids immediately look at dad! Its histerical!

Last year I was cruising in my 73 Century and my friend asks me to pick him up cause he wanted to feel what kind of power it had so of coarse I'm more than happy to show it off a little. We start cruising around then he asks me to take him to a Mcdonalds around a corner. I take him there and he goes inside to get some food then all these honda's and vw's start showing up. They're all talking import this and import that then one of them looks over and sees my car and asks if it was mine I say yeah luckily though he says afterwards that he almost thought it was a monte carlo until he saw the Buick emblems.

Was cruising on Woodward Ave (the hot spot for all things fast) in metro detroit last weekend and wondered in the tuner/late model sport and muscle car (Honda, subaru, SRT, Colbolt ss, GTO, mustangs, camaros) gathering lot looking for a friend and i noticed all the kids watching me go by. At first I was thinking they are going to lynch me because I didnt "belong" or I was trolling for trouble, which I was not. So i make my way to the far driveway to get back on woodward and I'm sitting there watching traffic. So I look to my left and these kids (about 5 of them aged about 16 -18) are watching me from the wall they are sitting on. Then one smiles and gives me a thumbs up says, "I never realized how cool a Buick can be until I saw yours. Beautiful. I thought it was a Chevelle. I'm sorry." All of them nodded and I thanked them and drove away.

This weekend, a security guard at the event I was at, asks me:
    "What year Buick is that?"

    "1955 Roadmaster", I reply.

The security guard counters, "I've got a '55 Buick at home. And, a '75 Lincoln convertible. You know, just like the one that, where Kennedy was shot."
