    I ordered a Supercharger from XS-Performance....
Mike is assembling the parts and should soon ship them...

The parts that i will receive:
    P-1SC Supercharger System
    Pro Flo Bypass Valve Kit
    Holley Carburetor Modification Kit
    Aeromotive A1000 Fuel Pump
    Aeromotive Boost Sensitive Regulator
    Intercooler 24" x 12" x 3" Intercooler
6 oz. SC Oil Pack (3 bottles)

and i will need some more parts:
    a Holley 650 carb
    a fuel pressure gauge
    a boost pressure gauge
an A-pillar pod to fit the 2 gauges
a fuel filter + all fittings from tank to carb

    for the engine:
    reinforced pushrods
    stronger valve springs
forged 8.5:1 pistons with chromoly rings
cam will be next to a TA 212 but with a 112 lobe separation
a little work on the exhaust valve ports
    TA valve covers

    i already have :
    poston roller rockers
    TA intake

who can help me concerning the torque converter? what would suits best?

Hey David,The converter Is based on the cam and intake of choice seeing the cam and the intake you have, 2500 stall should be fine. dont go cheap on the converter it can cause big problems just a word of advice..

    alec296 i need another buick

i would think a good coan convertor in the 1800-2200 range would be good

Get a 10in built, just need a big trans cooler so it don't fry from heat.

or boost, more torque = more stall

That Holley 650 sounds way small for a boosted 350........Even the stockers are running 750 Q-jets. I'm betting you will need at least an 800 to feed that beast.

  8. that 650 will flow way more than 650 cfm under boost and will have great throttle response due to velocity of air through the carb

I chose it under advise from XS Performance, a 650 is enough for my combo and will be easier to tune...

    so, a 10in 2500 stall would be good ?

Like mentioned before, don't cheap out on a converter. You need to get with a good converter manufacturer and give them all the specifics for the car including weight and rear gear. Let them build one specifically for your car. You shouldn't go with a generic converter for the car.

Ill throw out the two I hear about most.

BUt like above you contact them, give them every detail under the sun about your car, even a dyno sheet if ya got one and they build it form there. It doesn't really cost much more. It sort of saves them time and money not sitting around just tossing random configs together and then hoping it sells.

My TC is from these guys and I am happy with it.

It was my first time out and got a 2200 12in
[But I didn't pick it out, came with my rebuilt trans.]
stock was like 1800 14in, had to be as the 12in used the next holes back on the flywheel. And I got one more set left for a 10in ;)
Wish I had know to ask for a 10in then.

Why? the torque multiplication goes up the smaller it gets.
But it makes more heat so you need a big cooler n fan to maybe so it don't burn up the trans.
[There are race only 9-8-7-6in ones too]

The small carb will be fine with the boost, since at 16 psi a 650 cfm carb will flow 1300 cfm.

Sounds like a great setup now call Herche and get the rods and pistons. Why spend all this money and use the stock rods, which will be the week spot with boost. It costs about $2000 for the forged rods and pistons but way cheeper than starting over.

A Buick racer named Guy was racing with a 2800 stall I believe which was awesome for his 395 hp NA 350 but when he sprayed nitrous on top of that he ended up blowing to far past the 2800 stall and had to go back to a tighter stall converter. So like suggested, go with a 1800-2200 rpm rated stall and that should be pleny tight for your combo.

Make sure your cam has 0 overlap, and keep the compression under 9:1. If you use the ta dual valve springs you will need to do machine work/clearancing so either go all out and go for the oversized valves, and Burton machine roller rockers or stick with a TA set of single valve springs. Order custom length pushrods from ta, but also better off with the adjustable Burton setup since you can use 1.6 or 1.65 ratio and adjust them while the engine runs.

Are my Poston roller rockers good for my set up? They also have a 1.6 ratio...
It's not easy to choose the right combo, i'm not so used with V8 tuning and even less with superchargers :Do No:
    thanks for your help

Yeah the roller rockers form poston are fine, and that ratio will be good just stay with a cam that is not too large. Go with the larger tube headers you can find, I think the Hookers are the largest available for the 350.

Talk to Bob Mackley from Finnishline Motorsports about your combo. He and his son are building a pro-charged 350 right now.
