In an automatic don't you just put it in drive put on the brakes and then push on the accellerator? (help me out, im also illiterate on burnouts as well, lol.)

depends, for an auto rwd car, u press the brake pedal all the way down, then proceed with the gas pedal, depending on the stall of the converter the rear tires will break loose or the car will just stand up, if it stands up, just ease off the brakes until u hear/feel the tires slipping, then ease into the brakes so the front wheels will lock up and go as long as u want! I've mastered it, ive got a great video of me in our WE4 that i need to find a host for.

Many ways to do one. In an automatic, just hold down the brakes with moderate pressure and floor it, if the tires don't break free, let off the gas or you'll hurt something. You can always put the front wheels up against a curb as well and floor it (rear wheel drive only for all of this). If you just want to squeel the tires (or don't have the power to do one), you can always rev it in neutral and drop it into drive, just don't rev too high. Front wheel drive is the same (nuetral-drive/dropping the clutch) although unless you have huge amounts of torque, your not going to burn out unless you do insane clutch drops (and destroy your clutch) or reverse to 10mph and drop the clutch. That'll leave a mark and some smoke. If you really *really* want to go nuts and just do a huge burnout without regard to tires/human life, a little oil/bleach goes a long way. Don't plan on driving it anywhere if you play with oil, you'll be burning out everytime you touch the gas pedal until the oil burns off.

Geez, are we contributing to the delinquency of a minor here??

If you going to do this, try it in an open area where there are no people, other cars, or obstructions around. The car/truck can get away from you very fast and you need to learn how to control it. Be careful! Burnouts are fun, but are called "unsafe starts" by the boys in blue for a reason! BE CAREFUL!!!

Oh, and wipe any rubber particles off the rear quarters or your father will kill you! :Brow:

No kidding ken, he didnt find out til he found the video! Delinquents? I think Slawek might be the oldest person to post in the first three posts! Anyways, if your driveway is wide, and a little uphill, thatd be a good place, unless you dont want your dad to find out!

    Put Buick engine in car

    Select "D" on transmission

Plant right foot firmly on pedal to far right

Press down with right foot as hard and as fast as possible

Not everyone is lucky enough to have 510ft/lbs of torque!

In reverse, back up with the pedal to the boards and without letting off the gas petal rip the shifter into drive and keep on the gas and hold on!! Note this should be done in close proximinity to the junkyard your dropping the car off at.

If you have to power brake your car to do a burnout, then go out and buy a Buick! And the only pedal you'll need is the gas pedal!

My Buick could only do it with a spare tire and no rear brakes. Amazingly enough, that spare tire never gave up, it's still alive to this day and still looks like it did before I put it on and used it for 3 weeks and countless burnouts.
