How many years have you attended the GS Nationals?

20 stright!!

1st one was in 86, drove "Very Few" to the Holidome in BG.
This will make 20 stright----

Have been to everyone since '85(first year I was out of high school) so....21st....I suppose!!! Man....talk about getting old!

P.S. Sam what year was it you drove "very few" and we replaced a broken valve spring in the Holidome parking lot so you could race & drive home??? 1988?

P.S.S. Yea MIke G. I remember changing valve springs on yours too,(also in the holidome parking lot) I told you thats what you get for racing while pulling a trailer! :Smarty:

I have been to everyone except one and I cannot remember which year it was, but I do remember it was the first year Doug went to the Nationals. I had just finished doing some last minute work on his 1970 Skylark Conv. Isn't it funny how your mind starts to leave you as you get older but the kid in you stays.

 

I joined the GSCA in 1984 after buying my 72 Stage1, which is still with me, and attended my first Nationals in 1985. Haven't missed a year since. Only twice during those 21 years have I not taken a car. One year I was glad I didn't take a GS because we got caught in a hail storm on the way home and got my truck beat up with hail between Louisville and Cincinnati. It's always a good time and my wife and I look forward to it each year.

1992 Was my 1st year! Only year I missed was '99 when we was sold-out for Ohio! :bglasses:

 

8 out the last 9 years for me and my brother.

 

My first year was 88 and I have gone every year since, so that makes this one my 18th year. The "Shiek" beat me by 1 year, damn.

Since 1988....

My dad and I have been going since '88 and haven't missed one yet. The only thing that I notice now is that it takes us a little longer to get there because we have to hit the rest stops for a "potty" break....and that is for both of us :laugh:

First year for my dad & I was 1988. We have attended every year since then except the year it was in Ohio (was that 1999?). Living just 80 miles away makes attending the Nationals very easy

 

This will be our forth year driving down from Maine, its a long ride, 1200 miles each way but its worth it

 

You missed '88, my friend. That was my first year and you came with me the year after. And the year after that. And the year after that. Infinity. I only missed '99 in Columbus. Boycotted. This will be my 17th.

 

'93 - '94 - '95 - '96 - '97 - '98 - Triple Bypass - '00 - '01 - '02 - '03 - Salem - '05

This will be (11) eleven years this year !!!

 

97-98-99-00-01-02-03-04-05 this will be #9 for me .
