Concerning The painted top. Less than 50 came out from the factory. The original VERY FEW was one. I have the letter from Buick. They were a mistake, When the cars got to the department where they put the vinyl top on bin was empty? They were sent back to the paint shop. - sand it and shot it!
Thanks to all who responded to my original request. Hope to post photos of the car sometime in August as the wife and I have a visit scheduled with my old friend. Some further information on the car: Diplomat Blue Heavy duty cooling 4 whl manual drums Special ordered in 1969 24,000 miles in 1973...used 1 year as a daily...speedo quit working...he thinks perhaps 28K on the car. Not selling as it is willed to one of his twin sons (mid 40s).
