Whoa !!! Marco's gonna flog his car ?!?!?! ....and I wont be there - although long range forecast predicts I may possibly make Sunday
I will need some volunteers to judge the car show so please come up to the tent by aroumd 11 or 11:30 so we can form some groups and knock it right out. Thanks in advance. You know how much work this stuff is.
Englishtown Yardley, When are you going? is there a group going up together? If so let me know please . I don't think my Wildcat will be ready but I would still like to go anyway. :TU: Don
Don, I can't make set plans on time this Saturday, otherwise I'd love to caravan. But I'll see you there. EVERYONE!!! Please see my post on FREON! I need R-12 at the track Saturday. Not a happy camper!
Am I missing something, or did this same subject come up exactly one year ago this week? If so, I'd say you have a leak! o No: Edit: I read your other thread. Sorry I can't help with that. But I can stand around and watch while someone else fixes it for you. Would that help?
As most of you know, I drive the 70 pretty hard. Nothing crazy; just your usual 200 foot burnouts, doughnuts in the stageing lanes, and petal to the metal down the strip. OK to the point-- I let my younger brother beat the crap out of the car every now and then and on Saturday I let him make a couple of quarter mile passes on an access road we have measured out. He then wanted to sse what the car could do "off the line" So I instructed him to come to a complete stop and stomp it! After about 60 feet of sideways rubber....... GEAR SOUP! That is; rear end good bye nice to have known ya! Good news is that this rearend was an 8.5 with 3.08's that I got out of a rotbox 71 GS 350 for $400.00 I have the 8.2 with 3.64's that came with the car, just the posi is a little worn. Now back to me driving the car a little hard (see Red Roof Inn smokeshows at the Nats), I also have a fellow buick friend that has a nice 12 bolt with 3.90's for me and I'm kinda leaning in that direction. Long story shortened: I won't make Englishtown this weekend, but the 3.90's and a new tourque converter will have me back in the low 13's again.
Exactly 1 year ago this week!!! Yeah, my evaporator worked loose from its housing and lack of support caused one of the fittings to loosen up. It was working so well too!
Hi John, I planning to be there on Saturday and hoping I can get either of my buicks out of my current garage which is presently blocked by construction material for a new "GS/GN only" detached garage presently under construction. I will be available to help out as usual. I have been out of touch this summer on the car circuit and spending a lot of time getting #1 son off to college, # 2 prepared for high school and # 3 ready for middle school. The cars are a bit dusty
I'll be there, of course, Saturday is my last points day:TU: I will try to make it Sunday as well, plus I'm loaning one of my other Buicks to a friend who sold out his stable recently. At least one of my Buicks will be there each day:laugh:
Absolutely!!! I've found that the more people that stand by idly and watch, the faster things get done. Example: In this photo 5 guys are standing by and watching Jim shoo ants off the intake of this 455. And there wasn't a single ant left after 20 minutes!
GOod thing Larry was holding the Core Support in place too....who knows where that might have ended up !!
Jeff, Got to have that A/C. Dolly has to cool down after all the abuse she gets.  Jims68Skylark says he has some R-12. He's 15 minutes from me. Want me to bring it to E-town??
I'll be there with the wagon Friday night. John, I can also help out with the car show judging or whatever else you need. Oh yeah, if I can fit it in, I'd like to join Doug in standing around while other people work on Yardley's A/C. Count me in!!
