Seach under the term "Amerihost " for Roberta's post on the group rate, code word "buck", scedules of events.
This is one time when living close to Flint is an advantage! I will be there probably driving either my GS or my 37 coupe.
I am with ya Chris, farther for me, gotta fly. My wife works for UAL, if they are still in business I am planning on being there. Thx JA
Ok, who from PA, NY, or NJ is planning on going and running I-80 across? I figure we can get a few people together to run out to Flint Let me know and we can get a list of all who's going:TU: Rob
I plan on attending also. Heading out with my son in our '73 Centurion 455 convert. I'm still undecided whether I will be towing out the racecar for the dragstrip event yet. I'll be there the entire time of the event either way. I believe John Csordas and Doug Hecker are heading out also. John may be bringing his GSX and Doug may be towing out Carl Rychlik's frame off restored '70 Stage 1. We are heading out from the NY/NJ area, most likely meeting up on Route 80 past Paterson, NJ. Also as the days roll closer I'm sure there will be a thread posted regarding meeting up and following each other out there. Can't wait should be a great time. As the days roll closer we should try to get a meeting place. Rick Martinez
Not me. Too far, and there is probably a Stop-n-Rob on the site where our cars were made, anyway.Flint 1 is long gone thanks to Roger Smith. I look forward to seeing the pics, though.
Hi Rick, Get in touch with me so, my brother and I can join up with you guys. I'll be taking my GS 350 4-speed out and my brother will probably be taking his '70 Lesabre convertible out. I think it'll be a fun get together. Rob
Boston to Flint Caravan You should check out this link for a caravan from Boston through NY to Flint: http://www.minutemanbuick.org/
Hey Rob I'm sure gonna try and head to Flint. What day are you guys and gals thinking about leaving and do you think you will drive it straight through or make a two dayer out of it? I-80 would make more sense for us rather than heading up to I-90 where the Boston group is going. IMHO Not sure how simply the border crossing go now into Canada and then back here?
I have my hotel reservations for Friday and Saturday so I will be leaving (from Buffalo, NY) early Friday morning so that I can try and catch some of Friday race card. I will most likely be going through Canada to get there. Not sure if I will be able to bring the GS though :ball: , I am woking on getting a trailer to carry it. I would love to have it there.......
Mike, what's the problem coming through Canada? You can be here in 4 hours depending on the border inspection time, just drive it here! RV
Hi Doug, I would like to see when everyone else is leaving and get a list so we can have a group leave out at the same time. I think it would be fun to get a group going together. I'm taking all week off so anytime is good with me for leaving:TU: Rob
Roberta, The problem is not Canada. I am just worried about that slight "hum" ( that I am getting from the original 10 bolt posi in my GS. I would hate to have something let loose 4 hours away.. Call me chicken.. I still may try and drive it though, it would be great to have it in Flint...
