You'll be amazed to see what you are allowed to do with a little persuasion $

You will be amazed how much you have to pay when they tell you that it can't be accepted as cabin luggage.....[IMG]

An if you fly with an American airline, the rules are very strict.

Nowadays you have to fill in a form where in the USA you're staying during your holiday. But a lot of people just rent a car and start driving, without knowing where they will sleep at night. So KLM is providing their passengers lists of hotels and motels.
People just pick a few addresses and the US Customs people are happy again

I'm sure you could get it on there somehow, or as a fragile package in the cargo area; all taped up with red stickers. Or why not call and ask, so you know for sure, before you "think" it's a no?
Another thing to consider if flying in/out of the U.S. is that you can't have 2 x 32 kilos anymore with you. It's alot less, something like half of that.

    CIT Poweraddict, help me

I agree the Phoenix way is faster and probably better since it doesn't involve as many people.
But I can book the shipping for you from LA if you decide to go that way, ships out once every month.

    Thanks again Peter and Erik.
So following your discussion, I try with Erik's path and keep Petr's as a back up.

I already contacted Rob who is prepared to ship to Phoenix.
Erik, please let me know by PM: 1-which address to ship to, 2- When, 3-How I pay you (Paypal ?)

The meeting in Europe will be an other story.

PS Rob, don't worry about a too sophisticated package. I know you did your best, and any problem that may occur will be at my risk.

    Jean-Luc,

You have to deal with Rik Alleman from the company "Parts-n-Stuff", so you also pay him for the transport costs.
He's a 100 % honest bloke, take my word for that, or ask the other Dutch board members like Riv71, 75Riv or JoKo about him.

    I already posted his number:

Best option is to meet us in Luxemburg or down the road to Metz, on May 6th.

Erik, when I picked up my phone at midnight yesterday, I realised that the phone # you provided is in Holland, not in the US !

    I'll try today !

If it does not work, one board member gave me the following idea to hide the shameful crack ! (and thus comply with French law regarding warning light switch...)

I can also try with another Rick: The Cannibal from the SW of the Netherlands.
Not all that far from Bruxelles in fact, only 119 KM.

This Rick has a few 1973 Boattails for parts, and also that wrecked 1973 black Electra I showed in another thread.
Same dashpads as in your Centurion.

    Click both :Comp:

Hey ,cool Erik.... I contacted your first Rick. Nice guy indeed.
He needs to cfm a few things but all seems OK. I'll let you know.

If it arrives one day, I should put stickers of all the countries where the dash has passed through, like those old frequent travellers on their luggage .....
That is an other option to hide the cracks

Try the USPS and their Global Economy Services. Looks to be under a $100 for 25lbs to Paris, France.
