    What's the odds I was looking at that same kit, debating between that or a powermaster 9202 starter today $62 or a $147

    I thought the mini starter was from a Vette, not the 96 Impala SS. I put one on a 94 Lt1/9c1 Caprice I owned ages ago, my memory seems it was from the Vette of the same era.

    Lt1 is an Lt1

    It was a gear reduction starter in the vette lt1 of the same era, same size. Like I said my memory was not real clear. :)

    "The vette starter is a plug & play swap. cheaper typically that the OEM style starter. It is also a gear reduction type starter

    I got mine at Autozone....given they physically look different and there is a core charge...might want to just buy it and later return the core"
