Hey guys... my first upgrade needs to be headers and an x pipe right?

How about them? Yeah, I know they aren't Ceram. Coated, but i mean, I can't affored Ceram. now, and i figure rusty headers might look a little better than rusty exhaust man.

How about this X-pipe? I'd rather find a used one, i mean, 115 bucks isn't cheap. Can you find a used X pipe?

cheapest xpipe cross over i seen was 99 bucks by eldbrock i beleive..
ah, took a lok at the link, its a little more because it's 409 stainless, not the best (304 ss) but its better then the regular mild steel pipes..so it'll hold up better to snow and salt and stuff.

as for the poston headers, they work nice compared to the stock manifolds.
like i siad in an earlier post, they're the cheapest.

hey did you ever do a gear change yet?

Nah, I haven't done a gear change yet. I figure I should do the headers and exhaust so maybe it can breathe a little better.

Maybe I'll price out shipping a set of headers down to you. I have a few spare sets of hookers....

But yeah, I agree that headers and exhaust will make a big difference, I'd go with a complete pypes 2.5" setup.

Do you really need an X or H pipe? You can go without I think. I run 1 7/8 full chrome headers with 2.5 cutom bent system back. my 455 setup is pretty healthy 440hp 535 trq

oh Sean on more Q. What did you reccomend to time this thing?... Its still rolling over sometimes after i cut it off, not backfiring just rolling over, so im thinking the timing is still off, or my idle speed is a little to high or something.

anyone have any ideas for a cheap ram air system too, maybe home built?

I don't car much about real stock underhood the hood looks..although when I get an alum intake it will possibly be painted buick red.

easy way i could think of for home made.. find two stock air asembly, cut the snorkel off the one, on the other cut out the correct sized hole and weld that other snorkel on.. then get some ducting and run it to your hi beams

or to some extent like that

Dual 6" dryer hose to a Mark Burton custom intake cleaner will be the cheepest setup for RAM AIR Effect.

Consider new bulbs for the headlights you intend to keep so you can still have a high beam.

Sorry, I'm not loaded with cash myself and thought that a young guy who talks about being tight might be able to make something like this work. I know if I was his age I would rather spend 125 on these than have nothing cuz I dont have 400 for new ones. Sorry it doesn't meet you high standards, but everybody is not independtly wealthy.

Geez, calm down! It would be a good deal if it didn't have the huge scrapes on the bottoms.
