I'd hate to be the person sitting in the back seat of one of those in a rear end collision. The rear tires look to be barely inches from the rear bumper. It looks like event he slightest rear end crash/bump could cause the rear tires to get locked up in body panels, etc. I'll take my 225 anyday!
Re: Re: GM blunders again....no more Aveo..... I don't think so. Vette guys have been complaining about a "column lock" issue on the C5 since its inception, and until we petitioned the NHTSA GM didn't do a damn thing. Image driving at 60 MPH and realizing your steering column suddenly locked up:shock: It happened on a couple C5s, most happened while starting the car but the few are enough to make one a little nervous. Go to www.corvetteforum.com and search C5 column lock or steering locked C5. You'd be surprised how many problems there really are......
not near as many as it took to design it:laugh: as for crash tests ... small cars (low mass)will test good alot of the time because the test basically simulates the car crashing into a duplicate of itself... but what are the chances of hitting another geo metro head on as opposed to a yukon with a soccer mom yappin on her cell-fone.
They just don't know how to make cars like they used to any more. pat FORD forever chevy can't get anything right.
