They are considered a “custom axle” even though it is for a production rearend. They are not readily stocked on shelves live a 12-bolt Chevy c-clip shaft.

If you drive to the track, do yourself a favor and spend the extra bucks and do the whole thing right. Once.

.. broke two stock rears at the track driving the car there (before having one built "right") and Im hear to pledge - it will not be a fun time if it happens to you.

Thanks Alan. No doubt I'm doing this right and doing it once. Will definitely go with the Truetrac diff. I'd be happy to pay a little more if 30 spline axles make sense and are available. Seems to be conflicting facts. I'll take Brian's advice and call Moser tomorrow.

I have a spec sheet for the axles. Depending on who you get on the phone, they might have no idea what you are talking about. The last 3 times I ordered the same 30-spline axles,I got the same guy calling me,telling me my specs were wrong. Then he realized “hey,I talked with you before”. I tell them just make them to the specs that I listed,or go look up my order history.

Dont call moser to order the axles, you will get beyond frustrated real fast, you wont get them any cheaper either just order them through Brian or Jim, have them put the heavy duty retaining plates, bearings, and studs on them there. All you have to do is slide them in. At 500ish hp you should have nothing to worry about.

I'd give Brian or Jim (monzaz) a call and have them place the order for you, shipped to your address.

As previously stated Monzaz is the man. He didn't rebuild my rear end (I had a trusted local shop do that) but he supplied all the parts for a damn good price! I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to him again.

Their prices for axles did go up about $40.00 recently. I’m sure some or all of their other parts did too.

Thanks for everyone's help. I've got calls in to both Jim and Brian. Just waiting for a reply.
