HI Dan, yes i meant Ken... I must have gotten all excited when i saw he was from CT. How often does one get to see an original car like that...?! thanks Bob
Bob- Sent you a PM. Hey Dan, yes he's about.... one hour away! How did you guess? :bglasses: And that's from almost full south to almost full north in CT. This ain't Texas, that's for sure! :Brow:
Thought I'd post the pic Dan sent me here for posterity sake, if someone else is looking for the VIN location. Thanks Dan, I'll take a look tonight! :TU:
We have a winner! Not that I thought differently, but it's nice to know for sure. 41H137128 stamped on block where Dan indicated. Numbers Match! Thanks for the help in finding it!
Re: Re: We have a winner! Yep, did that a while back, it's a match. The distributor doesn't have the correct part number as I changed it back in '77-'78 and sent the original in as a core. ou: That's a bit easier to resolve than a non-matching engine, though. Now I just need to win the Powerball to fully restore it.
Great news Ken! The funny thing is, I just got back from Coventry, CT. And drove across CT about 7-8 times within the week. Texas, heck I'd say CT is closer to the Dallas/Fort Worth area.:Brow:
