My wife and I saw Heart in a mini concert at Universal Studios a few months ago. They were still awesome!
How about anything off of the Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band - Live Bullet or Night Moves albums ...... or how about these good make out songs....."Kiss you all over" by Exile or "Always and Forever" by Heatwave or "Tupelo Honey" by Van Morisson. :TU:
Big favorite of mine as well. :TU: How about King Crimson "In the Court of the Crimson King". Anything from "Chase".
I saw Glen Frey earlier this summer in a very intimate setting in Northern MN (less than 1,000 people). Back listening to the Eagles Wasted Time other stuff off the Hotel California Album, and before Neil Young "After the Golf Rush Album" Most any old Neil Diamond Looking through my Ipod for some forgotten singles and came up with a few, remember these? They were great songs from the early 70s. The Weight by The Band American Pie by Don McLean Heart of Gold by by Neil Young Horse with No Name by America Baby Don't Get Hooked On Me by Mac Davis American Woman by The Guess Who Mama Told Me (Not To Come) by Three Dog Night I was lucky enough to see the Guess Who and Three Dog Night when they came down to New Zealand in the early 70s, they were great. :TU:
most of these songs listed you can hear all day long on fm radio and sat radio. the whole post seems to have gone from "forgotten" to just faves.
Tower of Power-So Very Hard To Go Left Banke-Pretty Ballerina The Temptations-You're My Everything (aww baby, the late Eddie Kendricks and the late David Ruffin belting it out!!) Smokey Robinson and The Miracles-More Love Jr. Walker and The Allstars-What Does It Take The Sweet Inspirations-Sweet Inspiration (1968) (If you can't snap your fingers and dance sinuously to "The Skate" don't bother listening to this on U-Tube, pretty sexy tune!!)
My wife works with a guy that was college buddies with mojo nixon so she asked him to get her an autographed pic with what else... the line Don Henley must die on it. Gotta love the misses.
Dancing in the Moonlight by King Harvest MAN, there are so many being brought up that I never heard of, and so many that just bring back the memories... Nobody else mentions anything by ELP Emerson Lake and Palmer they did a redo of "Peter Gunn" . I had a monza with a transplant 327 that seemed to cruise to the beat of that music, especially after I'd wind it out and putt around.
I just thought of an old cool song I haven't heard in years. When this thread was started,it got me to thinking of all the old cool tunes I used to hear, but don't anymore. This song has been in my head but couldn't think of the name, but now remembered. And here it is............................... "Breakdown" by Alan Parsons Project. It's got that cool early '70's sound!
