Just make sure the vent tubes on the carb arent to close to the under side of the EV hat now that you shaved the hat down.

Just a fyi, I've spent alot of time on turbomustangs.com when I was running exactly that. Dont know if you've been over there to check out their blowthrough section. Theres tons of info on carbs and boost. Its not a Mustang site exclusively either so dont be scard to say its a Buick, they'll love it. Anyways what I was getting at is that alot of blow through guys have found that running hard fuel line from the vent tubes bent to aim stright down the EV hat made dramatic results with tuning and lowering the need for excessively large jetting.

Dont kill me for doing this but I needed one more post to be able to post a link. I figured it was OK. I'm just trying to help. Some things are difficult to explain.

The carb i have is straight from quick fuel so i know its set up right and going to work straight out of the box, and they guarantee that if you have to change jets that it wont be more than 2 jet sizes.

By the way, on the front side of the carb base plate they have the vaccum ports blocked off; where else can i get the propper vaccum to run the vaccum advance and heater control valve.

And for the boost guage; where do you hook up that? Can i run it off the same line that feeds to the vaccum modulator for the trans since that line comes out of the back of the manifold?

    Kyle,

I would not run Vacume advance. If you can work it, move to a machanical Advance setup.

Heater Contols should be able to be pulled from Manifold. Try to get a seperate single port for the gauge, but if needed T it inline with another. The most import Referance sorce is your Fuel Reg coming off the back side of the hat. Don't share that, as it won't see any Vacume and will not give Accurate Bost readings unless at WOT.
