Female 72 Riv GS owner from Black Forest

  1. Hi, Men
This is Claudia from a small town in the south of Germany. (Very far away from Hof  )
About 4 weeks ago I bought a 1972 Riviera GS in really good condition. Vin : 4Y87W24900890
Everything seems to be original but the wiring harness :puzzled:. All the technical parts work as they should :TU:.
I got the car from France where it was 1. time registered as a import car, dated 07/ 06/ 1972.
First owner was Henri Salvador, a famos french singer, comedian, actor and TV entertainer.
The paperwork is almost complete and the history well known.
I bought the Riv as I love the V8 sound and prefer classic cars instead of plastic.....
My first US ride is a 1967 Mustang ( 6 Cylinder ) followed by an 1963 Olds F 85 Convertible. I do still own them and keep them running in as original condition as possible.
The Olds is an eye-catcher on every US Car Show. The Riviera will beat her.

But the big dream is the huge Big Block. In the age of 44 it`s time to make dreams come true. Well, it`s done :Brow::Brow::Brow:
This community is great and Im proud to have become a part of it. Even I`ve learned a lot about V8 engines, transmissions, engine bay parts ....lots of questions will be ask to all the specialists and everybody else on this place.
Try to add some pics made right after the 600 miles transport from the south of France to my place. Ice snow and salt
That`s it for the moment, Claudia

    The "Henri Salvador Riviera" had a different VIN: 4 Y 87 W 2 H 900890
It looks like you made a typo :TU:

It's a factory AC delete car, check the control panel for the heating, and also the ventilation knobs at the foot wells:

Under the bonnet you can see the "AC delete bracket" to support only the alternator:

Here's another AC delete Boattail, they are quite rare:
(This one has the "radio delete plate" and no rear window defogger, clock and trip odometer)
