I still have my favorite toy, it's a 1969 Hasbro Amaze-a-matic called the Astrovette. You stuck a card in the bottom with knotches on the edges. It went forward, backward, and would follow whatever course the card had on it.

The really neat thing was that years later I saw the original car at a Chicago car show. I was talking to the owner and asked why he painted the car white, as it was originally orange. He wanted to know how I knew about the color change, so I told him about the toy. He didn't even know they made one for his car.

Those were the coolest to light on fire!!!

After they started burning good, they would drop little bits of molten plastic and it would make a cool sound.

Oh yeah, this post should start off with the words "Rumor has it," :Brow:

Never heard of a Hotwheels track as a spanking tool. New one. My wife works in child services for the state of TN. I will tip her in on this as one to watch for!!! Naaaa, those flimsy tracks today would not even tickle.

I got the track, although the wooden spoon was a favorite in my house.

Hmmm. Tonka Trucks. Yes. I remember. Eric used to throw them at Greg and me when he got mad at us.
He was smaller than us and had to equalize things somehow!
