El Patio Mexican Food --only one location so you have to come to Austin to try it. Plenty of excellent local burger places here also...Dirty Martin's (used to be the rodders hangout place a LONG time ago...also Hut's Hamburgers.
It seems as though I live in quincy out of all the food places I like there, but other than chuckwagon(a good fish/burger restaraunt), we don't have nothing to compare other than standard restaraunts. But I have to say, the steak-and-shake up in quincy is really good, love the skinny fries and steakburgers, and the milkshakes are real and taste it. :TU:
bowling green Ky  Flarhertys ! not sure of the spelling though ? in B.G.KY Truzi is correct on mama santos in murry hill in Cleveland, ohio,Texas road house is great up here,Longhorne, a local Italian place called TJs on the ave in Mentor ohio, the BEST burger I've ever had was in German town in Colombus, ohio near the ohio state campus (can"t think of the name) I'm sure DEREK244 knows the one I'm talking about!! Oh yeah Lone star ain"t bad!! :laugh:almost forgot to mention SLYMANS in downtown Cleveland, the best (and I do mean huge ) huge, fantastic, hot, corned beef sandwich.
Oh lord, where do I start  Here in Ky: The Pepper Shaker. Located on Poplar Level Rd., in the "lower income" side of town. Burgers to die for. A double uses over a pound of beef, cooked on an open flame grill. Almost in-describable! Dripping with grease and the home made BBQ sauce they serve there. Impelezeri's Pizza Located on Bardstown Rd. First generation Italian family. Won best pizza of Louisville 20 years running. I actually worked there for a time. Owner wont expand because HE cant guarantee quality if someone else is doing the cooking at another location. El Napolito On Taylorsville Rd. As authentic as mexican food can get. Infact, every 6 months or so when imigration does a sweep, 1/2 of their staff gets deported back to mexico  Out of state: Tennessee: Blanes steak house Located in the "Ripleys Believe-it-or-not" building in Gatlinburgh As good as outback, lots of fun, party atmosphere, and local flavor. Indiana: Nancy's diner Located in Scotsville. Just a hole in the wall on a non-descript street corner. Traditional greasy-spoon style diner with great food, huge portions, and the best damn coffee on planet earth :TU: Florida: Wolfies 21 restaurant Was located at the corner of 21st st. and ocean blvd. in Miami's art deco south beach. Since closed down :ball: Traditional Jewish deli with buckets of complimentary pickles on every table. Ruben sandwich that weighed at least 5 lbs! Deserts and pasteries to die for! Neimo's [or maybe Eimo's] On A1A in Titisville, just south of kennedy space center. Real traditional italian with emphasis on the pasta and traditional dishes, not on pizza. Hawaii: The Bull Shed Located on Kawaii. Not just the best deal in "overpriced" hawaii, but maybe the best steak on earth, along with a fantastic all you can eat salad bar and bread. The God Mother's Located on The big island of Hawaii near Kalapana. I was surprised to find an italian restaurant this good hidden back in the hills of hawaii. Bread floating in melted butter, and a paaaaya seed salad dressing out of this world! New Orleans: Cafe Maspero Located in the Vieux Carre, across from the brewery parking lot just off front street. Possibly the best prices and biggest portions in the "Quarter" Traditional cajun food and seafood that's simply awesome!
Gary, Would that be Max & Erma's in German Village that you are referring to? They do have great hamburgers. One of my favorite places to eat in and around Columbusi s Roosters . They serve the very best wings Larry
Our favorite place to eat is the dining hall at Phantom Ranch inside the Grand Canyon. You have to hike about 11 miles to get there but the view on the way and the food is definetly worth it. They have a great Hikers stew. We have our reservations for 2006 made already.
The Thirsty Cactus. I'm not even sure if it's still around, little place in Dundas Ontario. They serve a cajun style of food. Great place, it's always packed, and they serve the best alligator I've ever had! You can check out the menu at www.thirstycactus.ca If you live in the area or ever in the area stop on by!
Have you ever tried Corky and Lenny's on Chagrin Blvd. for corned beef?? Is a toss up between their corned beef and Slymans as far as taste :TU: Also, Burgers and Beer in downtown Willoughby has some yummy stuffed burgers :TU: All this food talk is makin' me hungry and it's only 9:50 a.m. ou:
Hooter's I don't really like the food that much though. Love the resturaunt for some reason... maybe it's the wooden tables, na that's not it. o No: Still my favorite.
