Dalton was my second pick. With Roger Moore, Bond became too soft and fuzzy. The films became too concerned with gadgets and fashion. I thought Dalton brought back some of the rough edges Connery had in the earlier films.

As for babe side-kicks, Diana Rigg had to be one of the best. :Brow:

I've caught a few episodes on cable here in the last couple of years. As best as I remember, I originally watched it on AFRTS in Germany back in the early 70's, and then again after we returned to the US. Even though I was only about eight years old, I knew she was a babe. :TU:

I've never read any of the books, but I hear that On Her Majesty's Secret Service was more true to the novels than the other movies (even if the Bond sucked). Casino Royale was more like Henry IV, lol.

Though I do like his movies, Roger Moore-Bond was too over the top. At least the other Bonds' hair got messed up in a fight (even Connery's), and they didn't always win. Roger Bond was also more arrogant and prissy, which I didn't like.

    Yeah,

That's someting really strange about this board.
I scanned an article about a very special 1967 Californian GS, took me over an hour to scan it, get it resized, cut up and put it online before publishing it on the board: 70 views and 1 reply.

A Happy Birthday message for a board member gets over 300 views en 23 replies :Do No:

I read most of the books, albeit years ago. If my memory serves me correct, in the books, Bond drove a Lincoln and carried a Smith&Wesson. The movies are quite different from the books, and Flemming felt his worst book was The Spy Who Loved Me.

Those are the newer books written by somebody else, not Flemming. I didn't care for them.
