Add George Lazenby, he was JB in the 1969 flick "On Her Majesty's Secret Service." (Good old Kojak was also in it, together with Avenger Diana Rigg) And since you are bored: change Peirce into Pierce...... ou:
What a bout the guy that was in "On Her Majestiies Secret Service"? Not that he would get any votes wearing that Kilt. George Lazenby No one came close to Sean.
Did it take you 5 minutes to type that........ o No: ? :beer  :bglasses: The BBC adds David Niven to the list of actors: Click here to vote :Smarty: BBC results so far:
Hard part is they are all bond but not really. It just a secret agent ID that gets passed on to the next top agent. They didn't play the same role or person. They were just assigned the same ID when they took that position. When the last Bond quit or got killed. And your real name and ID is erased.
Well-I forgot about Ole' George-sorry. He wouldn't get any votes anyways. p You mean i misspelled Peirce? o No: Oh well-all i can is oops! :spank:  By the way i voted for Roger Moore :TU:
Some of the early Roger Moore movies were great, but when he got to be so old and fat it was like watching my grandad in action he shoulda quit! Sean Connery is the definitive Bond. David Niven was pretty cool too. For those who don't recall he starred in a sort of comedy version of Casino Royale.
Erik, it took me 10 minutes to type, but painting and scanning the G. L. in a kilt took almost 5 minutes
Not only Pierce..... You're also thinking he's Charles younger brother...... :bglasses:  :bglasses:  I voted for Sir Sean, who else ? :TU:
Sean's the king, but the scene where Pierce drives the T-72 through the city is the coolest Bond sequence ever! (I drove tanks for Uncle Sam - always wanted to do that!)
What? 007 never got killed in any of his movies, at least that I know of. He was supposed to get killed in You Only Live Twice, but (if you haven't seen it yet, don't read any further) it was faked! (Believe it or not.) There was supposed to be continuity in the stories, even though different actors played the same characters. They're all supposed to be Ian Fleming's James Bond, M, Q, Moneypenny, etc. They just had slightly different spins.... BTW, Sean is, of course, the definitive 007, but Pierce did a hell of a job in his roles. Too bad he couldn't come to an agreement for the next one. It looks like a while before the next one comes out; they don't even have their star picked out yet!
Roger Moore will always be my James Bond. :TU: The creator and director/producer originally wanted him to be Bond in '61 but he already had contract obligations to that English, spy, "James Bond type" of show/series he was already in.
I dunno, In the secret agent world. You real ID is erased and you get a secret one. Ian Fleming's James Bond would be your new ID. As people would hunt down and kill or hold his family members hostage. Wouldn't even need to be immediate family. Which I assume Ian Fleming's doesn't have. But he does have relatives of some kind of he is in fact a real person and not just an agent ID. The guy would never get anything done as 4-5th cousins are kidnapped every other day. Of course no one ever see JB die or retire. To much is left out of the plot to assume either way but you would need to be born in a test tube to have no relatives of any kind for the bad guy to harass if Ian Fleming's James Bond was born any other way.
BatMan is the same way. He uses a name no one can ID him by or find his relatives. As the bad guys would use that info to harm him. Even though his immediate family is dead. Everyone has relatives. I really don't think Ian Fleming's James Bond is no more a real ID then BatMan's. For it to be real would open up to many plot holes. Everyone has relatives that would be used against him.
David Niven played Bond in the 007 spy spoof "Casino Royale". It was a good film full of famous actors and lovely ladies (and some good music by Herb Alpert).
They all play the same James Bond - this isn't Dr. Who. Oh, wait, he was always the same Dr. Who, just a different body. Definitely Sean. Though I'd put the Phantom (David Niven) second. I love Casino Royale. Does anyone realize it was a Woody Allen film (or rather, co-op)? Supposedly they wanted to do it straight (relatively speaking), but couldn't get something they wanted from the movie company, so did it as a comedy. We thought Pierce would be great back when he was Remington Steele, then he was screwed over by the TV show - they wouldn't let him do it. Remington Steele was then cancelled mid-season. When he finally became Bond, I was a bit disappointed - thought he would have been better. Then again, good actors don't often cross from TV to movies (or the reverse) well. BTW, aren't we missing more than just David Niven from the list?
not true they all tell the same history like in license to kill when timothy dalton is talking about his wife being murdered or when the call moore commander james bond which was his title in the military before he joined the secret service.... hardcore bond fan here connery is the best peirce is pretty damn good to and david niven played bond in casino royale you left him off....it was the 1st bond movie released about 10 yrs before the mgm movies
