i can definitely second that it was the biggest headache getting that baby in there but after wiggling it around a little bit she fit and they sound great with flowmaster 40 series and can say it was worth the trouble

Here's my suggestion - Cnd $ is good right now, so order away!

You'll have to decide whether you want headers or not. If you are keeping your manifolds, you will need a downpipe. This system bolts up to the TA headers. I'd recommend ordering a set of headers if you have the budget for it.

I just put that 2.5 inch Flowmaster exhaust kit from Summit in my 64 Lark- excellent quality exhaust system, and once you figure out where to trim it- it all fits very nicely...each length of pipe is longer than needed, so I had to trim each and every piece, but when I was done, it is perfect and has the H-pipe already welded into it.

I went with Flowmaster 50's, and they are a little less raspy- nice, quiet and deep at idle, and pure music at WOT. There is a little resonance at cruise, but not nearly as bad as the 40's. It will depend on your gearing I think.

Phil It really *is* a 350...

I have the Hooker Supercompetition Headers on my 350 and like Tricolor72 said, they can be a pain to work with and they sit *low*. I have a couple of flattened tubes on mine and if your car is lowered like mine is every speed bump or railroad x-ing is a cringe moment.

As for being a pain to work with, I have a non-ac car and the only problem I have is getting the center bolt in. You really have to put the bolt in the head, slide the header down on it from the top (the hole is slotted), slip the gasket in from the top, and then start the other bolts. I used a set of ARP stainless BBC (yes, chebby) header bolts for mine. As for longevity, I've had mine in the car since 1991.

I discussed shorty headers with Mike at T/A (TABuickMike) and he said he'd even like a pair but can't convince his dad to make some. If I could find some shorty headers I'd probably go that route.
