Update to Estate Sale (Make it eleven 66's)

Well Pete this will answer your question as to why I was hesitant on getting rid of that NOS quarter panel I had from the first purchase of the 7 66's.

When I was buying the original seven cars, the daughter had explained to me that her brother (Terry) had 4 more in Ohio (The father gave them to him) and he was not into the old cars and may be willing to sell them as well... Finally after contacting him on and off for months he agreed to sell to me and I made the purchase of 4 more 1966 Larks! (3 GS's 1 Lark)

Thanks to the help from my brothers Dean & Dan we made the 2000 mile trip back and forth this past weekend to make the deal and pick up some extra parts and we were able to see the cars on the hauler (They should be delivered on Thursday) and no they do not have any more cars so please "do not" bother them with phone calls. (If they did do you think I would be writing this! :Smarty: )

Before being asked about them, yes I do plan on keeping them all, I "may" have to sell one more (I did sell one previously, I listed it here on V8 first for 7K, no takers, and it sold on Evilbay for 12.5K) as this was a heck of a investment for a single guy like myself but I am planning on this as more of a retirement investment and something to keep me out of trouble while working on them, fortunately for me I have the space to keep them between friends and family.

As for the cars, I got my dream car... the red convertible in the pictures is a 66 GS convert, 401 dual quad, posi car, automatic (My only complaint! I sure wanted the 4 speed!) :ball: but how can I truly complain?... Well I am not to fond of that chrysler light on the front fender! (Mercy!) :pp

The black (Black on Black on Black car) primered car is a 66 GS convert as well, no interior, has a drivetrain, it is rough but the frame is solid and well... its a GS convert! :Brow:

The green one up front is a 66 GS as well, just a empty block sitting in her but I do have the parts to bring it back to life. (For those of you wondering, no that is not the original color, originally it was aqua) that green looks good on it though (Almost looks like the pontiac green from that year).

And last but not least the 66 Lark on the back of the trailer was the sons car he drove through college etc... A nice 340 4 barrel car, power bench seat, power windows, tilt, etc... A very nice car that a nephew of mine has staked claim to!.

I hope no one is offended I ended up with more 66's, but trust me, I truly love these cars (I had a 66 before all of this came about) and I plan on doing nothing but enjoying them! This has been a great experience and I cannot even begin to say how nice Dennis, Crystal & Terry was to deal with, great people, it was a honor to get to know them and now call them as friends.

I will post more photo's as they come about and let you all in on the progress! :beer

Tom, this is one of the coolest stories *ever!!* Congrats on the story of a lifetime... something almost every Buick fan would love to live out!

This reminds me of the story of Wayne Wooten, who found a dozen or so old General Lee Dodge Chargers at the Hollywood Dukes of Hazzard filming location, and then bought them all from Warner Bros... It would be cool to have one of the major muscle car mags publish your story! :)

    Very cool, and congrats again!
