Tom - Sounds like you're the Uncle or Brother to have! Congrats on your score. Can't wait for photos.
Small World Hey George! Yes, of course I remember you giving me the thumbs up while going over the bridge! (Thats funny!) On a side note I wish you were the cute brunette in the SUV outside of Tallahassee that was giving me the thumbs up on the car instead! :Brow: ha ha... If she reads this, send me a PM! :beer The deal went down just great, Dennis and Crystal were great to deal with and with the help of a very nice tow truck driver in town to help load up the motors it all went pretty smoothly (Except for being very sore still, guess that old age thing is starting to kick in) and thanks to my brother Butch for helping me out (Of course he now is in the Buick scene as well because he fell in love with the 66 Special and is buying that one from me). I brought the parts back with one blue 66 GS towed behind a Uhaul, thanks to the family we got it all unloaded on Sunday morning just in time to watch the Bucs beat the Falcons to just top off a great weekend! The rest of the vehicles should be delivered by car hauler later this week, at that time I will have more time to inspect everything, take photos and post what vehicles I will be selling on the site here first. All are automatic cars, all are bucket/console cars but one, they all are in different stages of shape of course but the main thing is that they all are original non molested vehicles which is what I mainly liked about the deal. Thanks again for all the kind comments, for those of you whom have sent me PM's about parts and vehicles I will be getting back to each of you as time permits after I look through everything (Within a week or two). Thanks Again! :TU: Tom
excellent score tom.it is great to see people such as you keeping the old cars alive and well. i am currently resoring my 67 skylark convertible and would be interested in left rear q/p if availible..thanks...pete
NOS Rear Drivers Side Quarter Panel Pete, Thanks for the comments, one of the "big questions" of myself that I have to figure out is that with this haul I did also get a NOS drivers side rear quarter panel for a hardtop car but I need to decide whether or not I want to keep it or decide on a price to sell? I really have no idea on what to ask for such a animal? Any idea's V8 members?... Tom
nos drivers quarter .last one I bought I paid 500 bucks for a yr and a half ago.....nice load of buicks you got there!!!!right on! :3gears:
Tom, by any chance are any of those cars equipped with a MU or MS code 'Q-jet' engine??? If so.....KEEP IT!!!! They are RARE! As far as I know, there are only 2 on this board....e-mail me for details wkilgus@fast.net I have alot of info on the '66 GS, so drop me a line when you get the chance. Hope all is going well with your purchase...that's quite an overwhelming find! I've gradually accumulated...over MANY years, what you bought in one day! Again....Congratulations!! :TU:
Six 1966's on a Semi Walt, We really had our hands full yesterday getting the vehicles off the truck and put away etc... to look them over to well... I will let you know the codes and such when I get back up to my brothers place this weekend. Here is a picture of the truck with 6 of the vehicles on it, I already have the one blue 66 GS at home and running/driving (That was a good feeling to see/hear that old Buick power fire up and drive!). More photo's and info will have to wait for another week (Unfortunately the old work scenario is back into place) but it is good to have all the cars home and in my hands! By the way the maroon 66 Special on the front top row is a 425 dual quad screamer that we already got running! Giddyup! :3gears: Tom The old owner filled the yellow 66 Skylark custom on the bottom rear with brand new seat covers (Fronts and rears) for "every" vehicle sold to me as a added bonus! Thanks Dennis! :beer
.... ...........Now thats a site for sore eyes..!!! last time someone saw a load of 66's on a semi was probably back in 1966......
Tom, I think you should make the car hauler pic your avatar. I don't think anyone else can duplicate that picture!
Amazing! This is absolutely amazing. Congratulations! Next time I go to Sarasota to visit the wife's family it would be nice to see them and maybe...touch them? Just once? Please?
:eek2: Wow! Tom, would you e-mail me the full size pic when you get the chance? Thanks! That is tooooo cool. :TU:
Reminds me of when my Dad was a sales manager (60's-70's) at a Buick Dealer and he would bring me to work for the day. The trucks would pull in with deliveries. I am picturing all those 66's restored . Wow :eek2: what a site that would be. :TU:
Congratulations!!!! Beautiful photo.... :TU: :TU: one of the main reasons I subscribed to this thread.....
Man, that's cool stuff! If I lived anywhere near you I'd come help every day. :beer One day I'll have a truckload of 70 Wildcats and LeSabres....one day...
