    Pertronix bought the Crane tooling and calls it the Pertronix III

    This is what I would use if I had to do a conversion now. there have been some problems with the original Pertronix.

    I had lots of problems with Petronix 1 and 2. The gap could never be consistant on thta stupid ring in the #1

    I didn't list the Lectric limited
    'cause I want a simple rev limiter more than the single stock looking wire;
    And yes, I am normally a stock freak.

    I have had my Pertronix Ignitor I since 1999, and have never had ANY trouble with it....
    The Pertronix II is a part I am unfamiliar with....

    Pertronix is probably one of the best and most simple to install with leaving a stock look.

    That's what I've had on my 55 322 for 5 years. Never, a moment of problem.
