Hello Gentlemen, It's been a long time, feb. 2011 to be exact. When I said it was time for a change, I meant it and that is what I did. In October of 2011 I found a new career and moved on. To make a long story short. A few failed sales of the company led me to let an acquaintance give it a go. That didn't work out to well and he passed away in the spring of 2014. So I spent most of 2014 selling off old inventory and scrapping the junk. Around the holidays; I started looking around to see what was going on to find that my intakes when they did sell went for incredible prices! So I put some thought into it and here is what I have come up with. I will make the 2x4 and 3x2 manifolds as well as the valve covers and valley pans for nailheads. That is about it. Everything else will be shelved or sold pending a permanent sale of the company. No more bellhousing or adapters. Too time consuming and too much trouble. I enjoy my new job and I don't intend to leave it so this will be a hobby. No dealers or distribution. Just a few vendors and myself. I had trouble in the past with the big business model and not looking to do that ever again. Most of the problems I had in the past where due to taking on too much and not knowing when to say NO. Which brings up the question "How do I get parts?" The answer is a tough one. The best I can say is when I make something; I will put it on Ebay and it will be a first come first serve or I will be replacing the website with one that I will update with products available to ship immediately when they are ready. Still working on that. In closing, this will be the only forum that I will post this and update from time to time. I met some good people on here and most where always supportive. I hope the hobby has treated you well over these last few years. God bless and happy new year. Martin
That's great news Marty! Your 2x4 manifold is a real nice piece. Wish you would get that 1x4 manifold to market, they would surely sell.
I'm glad to hear you will be making some manifolds and admire your new found determination to keep the workload doable. I might be interested in a four barrel manifold, but I still dream of putting 3x2's on my nail like the one I had back in the sixties, only with your manifold I would be able to run air cleans and get the hood closed!
Good to hear from you Walt. I expected you would be the first one I would hear from. I only made one of those single 4bbl manifolds and the tooling had some issues that needed resolved to go into production. I have been running the only example on my personal car for 4 years now and it is great. I really do want to finish that project and make it available to the public but I have to make sure I don't overwhelm myself. If all goes well, I will tinker on it as time permits and get it done at some point. As far as making other parts; The linkage will be made and a few accessories but that is about it. Was there something in particular Briz?
Hi Martin, Can you please email me at skylarkgs401@gmail.com? I have some questions for you regarding the nailhead dual quad intake, but would like to discuss them in privacy rather than on the open forum. I was going to send you a PM, but it looks like you have that function disabled. Much appreciated - Johnny
Glad I could be of service Johnny. I disabled the PM feature when I left in 2011 so I will get that feature fixed. Thanks for the heads up :TU:
Will be needing an intake for my next build. connect to TA stage 3 heads. Also gonna post an ad for a oil pan to fit a halo girdled block. Cost is a factor
A few years back I said that if the single 4 bbl aluminum manifold ever made it to production, I would buy one. The offer still stands. Glad to hear from you, Marty. Welcome back!
A single 4 barrel Quadrajet manifold would be a grove! and the coolest air cleaner you can come up with
I also would definitely be in on a aluminum single carb spread bore or square bore Holley pattern. If you decide to make one.
Martin is doing what he can in his spare time, perhaps you could take on the heads in your spare time. Ed
