edelbrock rims?

    Yep, getting the backspacing just right is the key to stuffing that fat rubber under the 68-69's. I think I can run as much as 6" of backspace in the back which will allow me to run a tire with a 12" section width. It will require a 16 or 17' wheel to clear the lower shock mount.
    If I go with all 16's I think I'll run 295-50-16's in the back and 235-55-16's in the front.

    I am not sure if those rims will fit with my tires.275/50 my rims that are on the car I found out have 5" backspacing.Can any one tell me if these tires will fit on these rims and then under the rear of my car.Thanks Curtis

    It will be close with 275's, 5" is better than 4.5" when it comes to getting wider tires on.

    I found out the old rims that are on the car are 5" backspaced,they're an old set of centerlines that are ugly.I turniing them into two funky shop stools.I went to my tire guy yesterday with the car and he told me he thought the rims would rub.So I ha d best pass on those great rims,hate to get them and find out they wont work.Sorry about that,I got excited without looking into the details.
