Al. I have no problem with leaving neg feedback for those that deserve it. Or reporting nonpaying bidders. In fact I just recieved retallitory feedback for leaving neg feedback for a nonpaying bidder. So how do I get it removed ? I looked over the policy and it does`nt look like ebay covers retallitory feedback from a nonpaying bidder.

My gripe is that feedback percentage should be split as to buyer or seller.
I bought a few things and got screwed and went back and forth with the jerks via neg feedback.
But as a seller I would have 100% pos feedback but because of a few bad buys neg feedback I believe my sales have suffered.

Very good point Bruce. I agree 100%. Just because someone is a perfect buyer doesn't mean he's gonna be a perfect seller. (or the other way 'round) :D

My best experience - a positive one- was when I purchased a (cheap) car cover, got it reasonably quickly (in France), we then exchanged positive feed backs . 3 month later, I tried to put the cover on the car and it was at least 20' too short...
Guess what, I just sent a note to the seller who paid me back (Paypal) the minute after I posted the mail....Then I paid 1/2 the price back again to him saying I still would be able to use the cover for a smaller car....and we remained good friends. :)

I have only one seller who never left a feed back despite I mailed 3 times.

    Ebay Feedback

OK, I have read and fully understand this now. First if you have someone bidding on something you are selling and you read his feedback and find he is a deadbeat cancel his bids and block him from bidding on anthing in the future. And on the other end only buy from members with 100% feedback. If you are going to do any amount of buying and selling on Ebay have two user names, one for buying and one for selling. In short to keep you feedback you need to be on you toes on who you are dealing with. It looks like the only way to have negitive feedback removed is to kiss the other deadbeat member's :moonu: and mutually have it removed. AL.

You are correct. I finally recieved an automated answer bascily saying I need to get with the buyer to come up with a mutual agreement. Bullticky. I`ll keep the negative. I never thought of a second name. Is it possable ? Won`t ebay catch on ? You still have to use your name and address.

My feedback left for other users- 1012

    Feedback left for me- 864

Does this make me a better person than 148 of the other eBay-ers I've dealt with? :)

My feedback rating- 780 Yup, 84 satisfied repeat buyers.

Just for my V8buick buddies, a free tidbit I've figured out in 6 years of eBaying-

You have 90 days to leave feedback for a transaction. If you want to leave someone a negative, wait 89 days, 23 hours, and 59 minutes to do it or you run a risk of a retaliatory negative left on your record whether you deserve it or not.

By the time they figure it out, it'll most likely be too late for them to leave it for you. :beer

When does the 90 days start, immediately at the close of the auction or from the time listed? :Do No:

joe, i wouldnt worry about that 90 day thing. fb can be left well after 90 days. if you have the user ID of the other member, and the auction number, i have heard of people leaving fb 6 months or more after end of auction. 90 days is more like a minimum. you cant snipe fb at 89 days, 23 hrs, 59 mins. w/o the possibility of getting a retaliatory neg. that is just a myth.

for more info on fb, check the ebay fb board.

    New at Ebay

I'm in the middle of a transaction right now.
Bought some parts 2 weeks ago, seller gives me excellent feedback
    for paying immediately.
Seller sends e-mail stating parts will be shipped soon.
    Still waiting......
I feel a negative feedback coming on!
What is a reasonable time frame for recieving an item?
    Any thoughts?

Oh, ok. Wait 6 months then. Wait too long and deadbeats often become "no longer registered" users.

I'll keep doing it, it works for me.

I just waited 90 days to post negative feedback for a guy I bought one of my Vista Cruisers from. He knew the engine was bad. He was unreasonable when asked to make it right,so I did what I had to do. He has`nt replied yet.
