Be care full with Face book marketplace as well I paid for a product and never recieved it and the seller is ignoring my messages. He is not local to me He did not do PayPal so no recourse at this point. Tony
Left sidebar of your facebook page should have link says "marketplace". On mine the top 4 are 'news feed', 'messenger', 'watch' and 'marketplace'. clicky-clicky.
The easy way to get around most of ebay key chains and valve stem caps fitting a 1970 buick GSX is the used items only. There is one jackarse that is selling signs that still shows up but then mostly legit parts show up.
I use "-fits" on my search, keeps lots of the junk out. Don't find many parts for my 64 any more but do find free shipping on some under $25 items with similiar pricing to Amazon.
My first and last experience with E-bay was a joke. Found a guy selling rebuild kits/packings etc. for a couple of commercial paint pumps/sprayers I own. I sent a message asking if he could give me a deal if I purchased more than 1 kit. Never got a response from seller. Fleabay emailed me and informed me I was a "bad buyer".. I emailed them back , explained the circumstances, and politely told them to kiss my arse now or anytime in the future the urge came over them. Jim
I type in 1964 skylark -fits -loop -for when searching ebay. it eliminates about 1000 listings for hula dancers for the dash etc. I used to just add -fits, but then I started getting a lot of listings for carpet kits and no longer need carpet. -loop took out all those listings. It's a matter of stream lining your search. Not happy with paying tax and some of the high shipping, but there is still some good deals to be had as there are still some honest sellers and vendors on there.
Then disconnect from your provider and save yourself some money, but realize no more V8 Buick for you among other services we all enjoy
I remember no internet too, I'm 60. I was just pointing out that you made a very broad statement about internet, but you use it everyday, whether you have a subscription with a provider or getting it on your phone. I think there are fees for the data required to get internet on the phone too, if I'm not mistaken. Not trying to be confrontational, but sometimes we all need to think about what we say, (or type).
I shitcanned the internet at my house 2 years ago, ain't missed it. I found ways around thier bullsheet that saves me $2000 a year. Don't want for nuttin , still watch same crap everyone else does, but without paying and without commercials. ....F your provider, the internet is still available without shelling out hard earned cake for 15 minute commercial breaks. Jim
For someone who seems to hate the internet, you spend a lot of time in it. There are plenty of sites where one can bellyache about politicians or anything else for that matter. One of the best things about this forum is that it isn't tolerated.
Pretty sure they are in charge per Jim. I've been here since 2004. Great site & this is JW's baby.....
Can I join? I sold 2 items only to find out almost $50 more each in selling costs showed up. Had some idea of new costs as they sent some nonsense notice but come on who would think so much more. I also don't like that they let one bidder bid on the same item from different sellers with the purpose of re selling for more profit. I know it's a free world but I see it as stores that limit something that's hot and a limited run to maby 2 items per person.
Don’t have you figured out, more like baffled by the response. Intended as mild ribbing. Guess you didn’t take it that way. As stated earlier, sorry to offend.
Ronnie, It might be a good idea to take a step back - and a breath, my Buick brother. No need for the angst. The topic of eBay robbing buyers and sellers blind is definitely a good one, so let's try and stay on track.
EBay is dead to me, the past 3 items I wanted had no bids prior to mine and I was out bid at the last second. Four dog dish hubcaps for 40 bucks, GS air cleaner with out the plastic scoops 50 bucks, and 67 430 rockers (have found on here).
