I'll start, but list your own too.

I'm not buying your wife, your kids, your chunky girlfriend jammed into short-shorts. I want pictures of what I'm buying, if I want to see family pictures I'll go to ofoto.com com.

ALL CAPS. I HATE READING ADS THAT ARE IN ALL CAPS. I get so confused and feel like I'm being yelled at. I also can't stand ads that are written in some goofy gangsta language that I can't understand or typos. I really really hate typos and incomplete sentences and ... oh the list goes on and on. How about when the seller list their region as "planet earth" Yeah, that gives you an idea on the shipping price........

The biggest one for me is the "location thing" that Renee has already mentioned.
If they list a fixed shipping price, I don't care if it's coming from Mars. But when they don't list a shipping fee, I HATE it when they have stupid crap in the "location" area.

I hate the term "win". I didn't win anything. "Win" generally means free of charge.

The other one is "handling charges" from an individual. I just love the "Well, I have to find a box and go to the post office". No sh*t! Be sure and turn in your expense report so I can reimburse you for mileage and meals. Then the item shows up in and old Dell box that's been around the world 4 times with 4 layers of duct tape.

"Ground-up" Restoration............Does this mean the ground was restored first and then they worked their way up to the car..........or, they "Ground-up" the original car and started with another one ?????????

    How about...

"I reserve the right to end the auction early." That's one of my favorites...

Well then, I reserve the right to NOT bid on your item....

How about pulling the car out of the dark garage for the photo shoot?

(This is an '85 Turbo T-Type Riv that ended with no bids at $1,500.00. A little light may have sold it.)

I've Got a ton of peeves, As far as cars, how about the #'s Matching all original, GS One owner car that has headers, a performer intake, isn't actaully a GS. That's a good one!

Shipping only to the US. I'm in Southern Ontario and I've had people refuse to ship to me from Ohio But they'll send it to Cali. That bugs me.

Another one that happens a lot in Videogames (My other Hobby) is EVERYTHING is Mint, Rare, New In Box. I hate that.

    Any eBay description that starts:

    "You are bidding on..."

    "Up for auction is..."

We know it is an auction and that we have to bid :blast:

I share the dark photo phobia too!

One of mine is sellers add a bunch of keywords in the ad to help with a search, but the ad turns out to be a piece of crap widget that has nothing to do with what I searched for.

No kidding. You'd be surprised how much crap comes up under Buick Apollo if you don't refine the search. Neon light kits and f'd up tail lights come to mind.

Don't forget the "rare" stuff that's really just new, cheap, mass produced garbage that 20 guys are selling at the same time. Do these jokers actually think they are the only ones who came up with the idea to peddle this stuff on e-bay? It's amazing how many different prices there are for the same item. Just drags the searching process out.

    StageTwo It's a Beauty Too.

Sometimes I thing people do that to just to push their auction into people's faces. As if someone looking for a Chevelle were going to change their minds and buy the Oldsmobile-or-whatever instead just because it came up during the search as "not a Chevelle."

I hate when people list stuff in the wrong place. Just one example I have seem many times is I am looking at actric cat parts and it has polaris or ski doo or yamaha stuff. Also the same thing listed by the same place on the same page about 10 times.

(That last part was for Renee)

I would say, overall, it looks like E-Bay pet peeves are pretty rare........................ :Do No:

    misleading titles & descriptions

    heres my biggest pet peeve.

intentionally misleading titles and descriptions. take a good look at item number 7900860403 the title says 1970 buick skylark 350 a/c compressor plus. the title and pics seem to imply you will get more than a compressor, but read it real carefully before you bid. it says the compressor is at auction only, there is a complete a/c system available. if that isnt misleading at first glance, i dont know what is. if it isnt for sale in the auction, then it shouldnt be shown in the pics, especially when it says plus. buyers shouldnt have to decipher what the hell it really means. another case of fee avoidance. seller might be on this board, i dont care, thats no way to run an auction. i stay away from sellers like that. anybody agree or disagree in this particular case ?

I can't stand it when they put "Tempest not a GS, Chevelle, 442"
All that does is spread the damn car around on searches. Everytime I do a search for a GS I get these Tempests and Chevelles pop up. If I wanted one of those I sure wouldn't have typed in GS right?
