the trans works and everything and it should fit my 63 nailhead correct.

mine slips right now when it is warm, i was going to rebuild it but if your works then it would be cheaper to replace and i can still rebuild mine and have a spare

  9. its out of a 63 riviera
    dyno flow
if you want a pic of it
    send me an email at
    ghildebrand@wi.rr.com
let me know you want the pic for the 63 riv tranny
    thanks

    Jake,
Are you finally getting the LeSabre back on the road? Greg is a decent guy and his parts are honestly represented. The Dynaflow is not like a Power Glide at all, the torque converter is the major input for gear ratio and torque multiplication as it has a variable stator in it. There is a band and a clutch, but they are there to provide engine braking and reverse. I've been waiting for one of mine to die so I have an excuse for opening one up, but they both continue to operate just fine!:Do No:

A good tight dyna is a good tough transmission. You cant tear one up. Personally, I think they are tougher than a turbo.
phisically they are heavier than a turbo, kind of like a ton of bricks.

hey tim how have you been! yes the lesabre is making progress, that intake i got from you is really starting to look great i will post pics when i get home . As you may have allready known i'm no longer working for gm i'm solely with nissan now, and they are sending me to do obd2 training because the asep credits do not count.
i found a guy to help me rebuild my trans, cost is a case of coors light. but if i have 2 tranys then i can just do it myself, very slowly.

does dctc still have the autobody restoration course? do they touch on fabrication ? the lesabre has seen better days...

    Jake,
The college still does an auto restoration course on tues and wed evenings during the summer. You would be amazed at the amount of work these guys can get done over the summer. Where do you go for Nissan training?

    Guys,
Dynaflow rule of thumb: NEVER attempt to move one alone unless you are driving a fork lift! LOL! I pulled a Hydramatic out of a 48 Cadillac once and I do believe it had the Dynaflow beat for heavyweight champ!:TU:
