So you can just record it as I am sure it would be something you would want a copy of anyways..Ads a cool factor to your car, being a celebrity and all

In addition to the manual conversion, Midas put tires on the car! I had some rubbing up front with 255s. I had 255 60 15 on 15x8 rims on all corners.
Midas put 245 60 15s on the front, and 295 50 15s on the back... no more rubbing and great looking meat on the back![/QUOTE]

Thats awesome Curtis! Glad to see a Buick on tv! This is kind of an obscure question but how did you like the Cooper Cobras you had on it in terms of ride and all. Saw em in the picture and figured I'd ask. Thanks!

Coopers are the ones Midas provided. I have not driven them yet. I had BFGs on it.

In that case, how'd you like the BFGs? Just trying to get some ideas on white letter tires for when I get some new ones to replace the dry rotted Goodyears.

I liked the BFGs
No complaints at all.
They are the classic looking white lettered tire on most cars of our Buicks vintage.

I spoke to Jared, he's working on the car today. Just the last few things, reverse light back drive and clutch safety switch etc.

The good news is that the original drive shaft and yoke worked without modification... I knew the yoke would, but was unsure about the shaft, Jared said it fit perfectly.

Congratulations!! The car looks sweet. You're going to love your car as a 4-speed. This is/was an opportunity of a life time and I'm glad you chased after it . I love watching all these car shows, no matter how cheesy some are. Car Fix is pretty good, Jared and Lou sound like car guys. I'm glad Buicks are getting a little more recognition in the car world.

Google Car Fix and find it on the Velocity website. Unfortunately they have short clips and not whole episodes.

Well yesterday was quite a day.
Got a lend of a trailer from a friend and headed to Tampa for the pick up.


Lets play "Count the pedals":grin:


Back to the same house where we shot the delivery scene
We put about 3-4 miles on the car driving it around tree lined roads for the final shoot


Being the novice Manual driver Jared loaded it on to the trailer


We hit the road






And a short clip of my maiden voyage (even the reverse lights work!)

I have to say, Jared, Lou, the Producer, and all involved in the studio production were great people. I have nothing but good to say about the experience
They did a really nice job. The clutch starter switch works great. The back drive for the reverse lights is in place and works well.
All thats left is driving and enjoying.

I confirmed though, that the first show should air July 18. The second episode will be a few weeks behind that. I will post back here with reminders.

I'm into it for some money because I had the pedal assembly, shifter and handle and the transmission. The rest of the supporting parts were provided my OPG. There were a couple things OPG could not supply but the shows budget covered them. Midas supplied the tires. The show supplied the labor too.

4 speed AND new shoes ? NICE! I like my Coopers! They are a newer design superior tire.
