There are millions of reasons to get the vaccine - 2,640,000 deaths from COVID-19 worldwide, 500,000 in the USA and 22,429 in Canada. For a virus that people tell me is fake or noworse than the flu well, I don't believe them.

I have to say I'm completely baffled by people who refuse to take the vaccine. The medical and scientific community are united in saying we should all get it. I'm sure someone from the community can be found who opposes it. But those people are in the small minority. That alone should tell you something. If there were real concerns we'd see more disagreement from that community.

absolutely! The question wasn't if you would die or not. Your contention was that my life insurance company might not pay if I died after getting the COVID vaccine. That's the part I responded to and it is absolutely false.

As for your concern about the vaccine causing one to die, I offer this: The three drug companies offering the vaccine tested about 50,000 people each before getting FDA emergency approval. So, out of about 150,000 test cases, not only did no one die but, of the few that caught COVID, (5%?) none had to even be hospitalized. If those odds aren't good enough for you, you may want to stop driving your GS when anyone else is on the road cause you're more likely to get killed that way.

 

Yeah the whole life insurance thing has been easily debunked. But people that get their news from Twitter and memes won't know this.

Not entirely true. there's a large body of Medical Professionals who aren't believers. In addition, most people think this is a "One size fits all" vaccine. It's not. Individual genetics play a huge role here. That's easy to quantify by looking around when in public. Humans come in all shapes, sizes, appearances, intelligence, among many other characteristics. A vaccine tailored to a specific receptor within your RNA may adversely affect many others. The sample size cited above is far too small, less than 0.003% of the planets population.

There's now evidence suggesting BMI plays a major role in how severe the virus can be. Certain visible minorities, such as First Nations indigenous people, have also shown higher infection rates. It's becoming a serious issue with them where I live.

Researchers who wish to continue riding their $$$$ gravy train won't rock the boat by disagreeing with what their told to prove. My doctor essentially said this was the case when he was an undergraduate researcher. I believe him

Well the opposite is also true, there is money to be made if you're willing to support an unpopular position that some powerful people support for political reasons.

You make a good point that the vaccine is not a perfect solution for everybody. But that is true for ALL vaccines. None of them are 100% perfect. But they are good for the majority of us.

Like I said, there is absolutely no way we can understand and be made aware of the long term effects of these vaccines until 5 plus years down the road. This is the first time RNA type vaccines have been approved for emergency FDA use, not to be confused with full FDA approval. Only time will tell and I really hope the best for you brave people jumping in line.

The important thing is that we respect each other’s opinions on if they think it’s a good idea or not to take the jab. Each of us has the right to decide what’s best for us, and try to reserve judgement on others who have differing opinions.
