    Real or not, “global
Warming” is being used as nothing more that a tool to funnel money to certain people. A way to tax people more, then mis use the $ without helping the environment.

I won’t say ‘nothing more’ because think there are true believers and earnest people involved, but I do feel that they’re being used by the profiteers.

There are always dirtbags who are only in it for money, on that we all agree.

Our local weather guru Cliff Mass who is a meteorologist at the University of Washington did a heat wave summary...

He stated that the heat wave was attributable to "natural variation" with global warming contributing at MOST 2 degrees.

You must realize that there are folks with massive amounts of money who are profiting greatly by donating/lobbying against global warming and lining the pockets of those who help push that agenda. The true believers (deniers) are being used by the profiteers...

My skepticism applies to all sides.

Two degrees is huge! That's almost 1/3 of the total climate change (global warming) in the last 18,000 years.

Have you read the thread where knuclebusted is wrapping sport wheels?
I sent him 2 of mine to get wrapped last week, I'll see how they turn out, might have him wrap the one in my '71. It's pathetically skinny! At least it doesn't suffer from the dreaded 'Stickies'!!

Thanks for proving my point no one knows what the normal climate of this planet is and man isn't responsible

Is there even a "normal" climate? One could even argue that some warming would be greatly beneficial to nature and mankind. At the time of the dinosaurs, CO2 concentrations were six times what they are today and the planet's vegetation was so abundant that animals the size of school buses could be sustained.

In human history, cold periods have always been times of hunger, misery and pestilence. Warm periods, such as the now erased Roman Warm Period and Medieval Optimum, were times of great prosperity. Every year, far more people around the planet die because of cold weather than because of heat.

Another thing we never hear is that higher temperatures bring more precipitation, not less. The Sahel (the green area surrounding the Sahara desert) has been expanding since the 70s, eating away at the Sahara desert.

I did no such thing. But I will certainly agree that so MUCH is unknown, but this must also include the POTENTIAL for human effects. That's all.

I proved/disproved nothing. Not that difficult to grasp this.

You are probably right, but I won't be one of them. Plate tectonics is a whole 'nother animal.
