Nah, it'll be -25 this winter. This happens every single year. It's called "seasons" up here.....was -38 in October last year. Won't get used to that, either.

Forecast says 104-110 on Monday at my house... But this time its going to be nice around here. Usually it dumps rain first then the 100 plus temps within a day or 2 .... Usually I head over to the eastern half of the state hotter but drier......
This time Its not rained for the 9 days,,, With decent weather first 4 days of this dry spell it was muggy.. Now its nice and dry 85 90ish No need for AC. At this point I dont see any need for AC on monday......

This was the temperature today while I was on the roof.

My family says installing our heat pump system was the best money Dad ever spent!
    I gotta agree!

I should probably do that too. Still running the old "mayflower" as in "came over on".

110 here today. Not pleasant. We are used to it cooling off in the evenings, but this time, not so much. At least I have a basement... about 80 down here.

115 today in Vancouver. I spent most of the day hosing down our condensing units at work. Chilled water supply went up to 54 deg. nothing else we could do. Was an easy money kinda day.

Here in Arkansas, I always keep 1 or 2 spare window AC units in storage so when my home AC goes out and the repair guys are all overwhelmed during heat waves, you can survive in your house for the 3-4 days it takes him to get to you. They always seem to go out during heat waves. I feel for you if you don't have AC.

Same global coincidence as us having the coldest October on record here last year with the coldest day ever and the 3rd biggest snow storm in this city's history that same month. Ebb and flow. The world is not a temperature controlled easy bake oven. Ask the dinosaurs and wooly mammoths.

People expect climate and they get weather. I love how hot weather proves global warming but record cold proves nothing.

As a teenager, I remember many days over 100° in the late 70s and early 80s. Coincidentally, those were the worst winters on record. Sunspots and other solar activity has more to do with it than anything man does. Heck, one volcanic eruption spews more than the US does in months. Krakatoa spewed so much ash into the sky in 1883 that it took two years before winter finally went away and another three before temperatures fully returned to normal.

The dinosaurs are thought to have been wiped out by climate change caused by a giant meteor strike. The Wooly Mammoth was thought to be hunted to extinction by humans. FYI

Weather doesn't prove or disprove climate change, long term trends do.

Its funny how this weather does it thing...
10 yrs ago I remember another 100+ days and a zero degree morning.. We have mild winters here in the PNW yes I still wear shorts & just a tee shirt most of the time..... last year it never got hot enough to turn my AC on, With the exception of one evening the outside air cooled down real fast but the inside of the house was still warner than I would have liked, So I turned on the AC for about a hour just to equal to temp..

FWIW in the winter I usually burn 1 ton of pellet.... FWIU places in the midwest and NE go though 8-10 tons

It's still 84 in my basement tonight at 9:10PM tonight. Very unusual. My beer is getting warm annoyingly fast.

It looks like my high temp today in North Seattle was 110.
