    Thanks Eric...

It was extremely hard this morning, harder than I ever thought it would be. I was able to bounce back and enjoy the rest of the day after a stop at the bar for a toast to our "late" pup...and a bucket of beer later, I'm much better:grin:

The date went VERY well!! I just got back...1am on my dial here... time to wind down and get to bed!

    Used glass

Not sure if this applies to your car, but if you want to find a good used one, GM used the same windshield on a whole lotta cars. Here's one list of cars that share the same glass...

    71-72 Buick LeSabre
    71-73 Buick Centurion 2dr + 4dr73
    71-75 Buick LeSabre 4dr hardtop
    73 Buick LeSabre hardtop 2dr
    74-75 Buick LeSabre 2dr hardtop
    76 Buick LeSabre 2dr hardtop
    Chevy 71-75 2 dr
    Chevy 71-76 4dr hardtop
    Cadillac Eldorado 71-76 hardtop
    Cadillac Eldorado 77-78
    Oldsmobile Delta 88 71-75 2dr
    Oldsmobile Delta 88 71-76 4dr
    Oldsmobile Delta 88 76 2dr
    Pontiac 71-72 Catalina&Bonneville 2dr en 4dr

Hi Ron, that's a nice list there! The convertible windows are different from any of the hardtop windows though. All B Body convertibles 71-75 had the same glass, along with the Eldorado 71-76. Thankfully, they seem to have found one....so it'll get here. I'm excited to not have to look through what seemed to be a sandblasted window anymore! That thing is really pock-marked.

James, thanks...I feel much better today..:beer

I have to make it through my dentist appointment tomorrow, and I'll be fine:laugh:

Then I'll be able to enjoy my transparent windshield again!

    Sooo...

No windshield yet. It was supposed to be here on Wednesday, no dice. Supposed to be here on Friday, no dice. Was scheduled for today - no dice again.

I'm supposedly getting a $25 discount for the trouble - left a message for Jeff (my contact at the glass place) for him to call me on Monday.

I'm a very patient person, but this is getting a little frustrating.

Tuesday then:grin: Forgot all about Labor Day. I'll be laboring in the garage for most of it, probably. I've been out there for about 6 hours so far.

Yeah, I forgot about this thread! I got the new windshield last Friday morning. It's like a night-and-day difference. I love it!

    $205.98 later, not bad!

Don't feel so bad Adam, I did the exact same thing last year when I went to have a new vinyl top put on. I was prying the clips for the molding out (with the correct tool) and ended up with a 5" horizontal crack in the winshield. I felt like a real ass after that. :Dou: :Dou:
