Here is how I did mine. The plastic piece and hose cost me 3 bucks at the junkyard.

    Walt,
I would like to see pictures of your set-up as well.

Walt, I would also like to see pictures of your setup. Looking at my 65 GS, it looks the hoses would clear if you removed the WW bottle from the pass side and removed the WW tank from the drivers side. Did you enlarge the saddle holes behind the headlamp. I did my 70 street car and did enlarge the holes to 4". I used the inner lamp holes for the air intake and left the high/low beams on the outer. The saddle was already modified and was rusty and so it was not like cutting up a nice one. What did you use over the headlight opening? I used black rock guard. Yours looks like a smaller mesh. Thanks Bill.

It's been over 25 years since I built it, but I believe the existing openings behind the headlights are 3".
I made up a pair of 'funnels' with the small end being 3" and the large end fitting the headlight retainer ring. The screening is expanded aluminum gutter guard. The ducting is emissions hose from the auto parts store. It attaches to the original 2x4 air cleaner snorkles.
I'll try to get some pics sometime this week.

I like the setup Joe has on his 66 with the scoops up near the hood.... probably less restrictive than my setup.
