I routed mine with factory style looms which were purchased at NAPA.

I don't think headers really affect running plug wires cleanly with the BBB. You'll want to use the factory wire looms that fit onto the 2 lower valve cover bolts. As mentioned, you can get them at NAPA stores or virtually any parts store that carries the "HELP" line. I have never seen any box stock wire set that fit perfectly. To get a plug wire set to fit right, you will need to buy a universal set. You cut the distributor end to length, then install the metal plugs with a tool they give you in the set. It is not hard to do. I recommend the 8.5mm MSD Super Conductor wire. It will be the last plug wire set you buy. This set has both STD and HEI distributor ends, so it will work for you.

I am looking at these pics thinking "Why do I see so much header? Mine are kind of hard to see. Wait, What? Ohh! That's freaking awesome."

Here's mine on a '71 GS455. Same routing as the others. Mine does have the P.S. pump. If you are looking for total originality, these wires are concourse correct for show cars if you are using the original points system or electronic conversion (but, not HEI).

IF you do end up using a universal/make them yourself set, rather than the straight out plug ends get the ones that have a 45* angle so they will be farther away from he headers heat.
    Just my opinion.

I bought mine at NAPA, part # 735-1437, cost was $2.49 each (only 1 per package, I added the 2nd item into the package in this photo) so you will need to order qty 4) so my total cost for 4 with tax was $10.88.

You will also need 4 of these valve cover bolts with the long stud.

You can also get them from Dorman #40281 in the "HELP!" section for less money at Amazon, Rock Auto or O'Reilly Auto parts:

I did the same but ordered mine through GM. I will have to see if they are still available. It was a few years ago when I bought them.

Gary, the package says 6mm on it. Do they hold the 7mm or 8mm wires OK?
