Maybe you should get re-married, cause I dont know many chicks on a first date 100 MPH with done up hair blowing racing past a semi so he can prove his Buick is better than that chevy whatever you call it.

That date sounds like one for the books. Most chicks I know would get out of the car calling me something that I am sure had the word "redneck" in it.

Great kill! There aren't many situations anymore, where two guys willing to run their old iron come together on the street in their old cars. Used to happen all the time. A few years back, I was in slow traffic in my Stage 1, coming back from an air show in Fort Worth. My friend and I were slowly passing a 70 Olds convertible done up like a w-30(might have been a real one) that looked great! As we slid by it at two miles an hour, the Stage motor snorting and snarling at idle, both the driver and passenger looked straight ahead, and refused to look over, as if they were afraid we'd challenge them to a race. My friend and I both broke out laughing at the same time, at the comedy of it all. At least the ricers are willing have a good time, win or lose. Dan

 

...good (mustang) friend of mine is now married for 7 years with 3 kids - their first date was to the drag strip and she doesn't even really like the whole "car" thing.
