Re: Re: Heartland Park Eric, here in a few i may have a heck of a deal for you on a 66' if your interested. i have a little to do and may be able to fill you needs. drop me a PM with a e-mail and i will explain further...... later....................
Eric and I both say... We both say that it would be cool to watch them run away to their hiding places like the cock roaches that they are. They are all afraid of the light that Mother Buick has shed upon those in the know. :moonu: Torque is the answer.:TU:
Salina stop light drags I started a new post accidently about the Salina stop light Todd I know I mentioned mid June but something I just remembered is that the Salina stop light drags are usually towards the end of June and this Is a year MIke and I are not going to miss. There are 3 classes ,10in of tire and smaller and 10 in and bigger, then the radial tire class. NO nitrous allowed. Just ask JIm Weise how much fun this is. We need the buick's to take all classes.
Re: party at Todd's I would consider trying to get down to Lincoln...it's not TOO far from ND. Probably not with the car though, unless I can get my rear seal done beforehand. What part of the year is being considered?
Re: lets go racing Either could work for me, but Sept would be better of the 2. I really wouldn't mind driving my 68 down there, after all, I did drive it 1400 miles across the country in fall 2001 to get it home!
Lincoln, Nebraska I went to a Ameritour event two or three years ago in Lincoln, and I didn't think it was two bad of a drive. And if I remember right, the cops wern't too thick either.:Brow:
ttt This one also needs to stay at the top. Also would like to send out a big Thank You to those who are working on getting something together.:beer
BBQ WHO would be interested in getting together at my place in early April on a Sat. to just get together and have a cookout. WE can discuss future events and get to know faces. Don't worry about bringing your car unless you want to. Lets see about getting the central region a little more organized.Planing on the future should be a common interest. I know I have done some complaining in the past that there not any buick oriented events around here, lets change that. " BUICKS IN THE HEARTLAND should be as popular as Raceday at Norwalk. But for right now we cannot rent a track ourselves until we get a little bigger and organize regionally. We want people in other regions to say hey that sounds like a great race, I should be there. So for now lets piggy back some other organized events in different locations and see what happens. Anyone interested can PM me.
Dyno Session If we come to Kansas City we can get together for a Dyno Day. Everyone gets their cars on the dyno to see what type of HP and TQ they are making. Check it out at. MC Racing The have an area out back for a small show if we desire. I would have to talk to them but it would be cool to do. I have taken the GSX, T-type and my new regal GS. Something to think about. Mark
Got a response from KCIR Jeff from KCIR writes: Are we interested in sharing the stage with a bunch of "Rats"? Might be a good way to get some exposure, especially if we can teach some of them the true meaning of torque. :spank: :Smarty: :spank: :Smarty: Since we're not sure if there will be enough of us to hold our own event, it might not be a bad idea. I'll steer Jeff to this thread so he knows what we're thinking. Thoughts?o No: - Freed
I think it'd be a fun thing to do...probably more fun in terms of sheer numbers of cars. I also live fairly close so I don't have to stretch every dollar to make it there. It's about 3 1/2 hours away from me. I'll have to drag a buddy along to see what Buicks are all about. He doesn't believe ANY Buick could beat a chebby.ou:
Sounds like a plan to me. We have a place and we have dates. The dates work just fine for me as this is my weekend off. I'm in wherever no mater what.:TU:
Dyno Day I spoke with the owner and he can do a Dyno day for us. I did not get any response on this topic. Is anyone intersted in this? Mark
