Cars Not in Barns, But Should have Been

Here are some pics of a 70 Stage1 car that should have been put in a barn at least for storage. Now it is virtually worthless due to the condition. It is a factory red car w/ pearl white bucket seat interior, tach and gauges, PS, PB, Tilt wheel, Boxed trailing arms w/ sway bar, and painted rims w/ trim rings. It also does not have the original engine. The owner says it has a 70 Stage 1 engine out of another GS. Haven't been able to confirm this yet.

    Is this sad or what?

Was unable to confirm whether it had a BB trans in it. I wasn't about to crawl under the car after finding two snake skins in it. The owner states that he busted the bell housing on the original trans and found a wrecked 70 Stage1 in a junkyard and swapped the engine and trans for his originals plus some cash.

    Isn't this sad?

Man when i'm older, and if i have alot of money. I would fix just the body and then sell it for full restoration. In the end it is worth it to have one more car in the registry then a few more dollars in the bank.

I wonder what happened to the GSX that the spoiler came off of.

If that car has a decent cowl and rear fenderwells, IMHO, it is restorable. Funny, car has a 350 fan shroud.

The fenders, doors, trunk lid, floor pans, trunk floor, rear qtr skins can be replaced. If that car was close to me, I would take a serious look at it. Just remember, Buick won't be making any more of them and they are getting harder and harder to find with those options on them from the factory!:TU:

I missed the 350 fan shround when I was looking at the car but noticed it when I was reviewing the pictures.

I haven't give up the car. I need to talk to the owner again about the carb and determine if it has a SS code on the engine. I thought so but am not 100% sure. The batteries in my flashlight were weak and I couldn't see very well. Eyes aren't what they used to be!

We haven't talked about a price yet either.
