Hey Mark, it's been a very nice winter here. Got up to +20 or better both Saturday and Sunday.:bglasses: There is no snow left!! A few local golf courses have already opened. A good part of the Red River is now ice free, which is the earliest I've ever seen that. I understand that an ice fishing tournament was supposed to happen today at Falcon Lake, 85 miles, err 140 kms east of here. I wonder if it actually took place. o No:o No: The ice did look reasonably good on Friday when I drove past, but who knows.
Cool!!! It has been a great, wonderful warm winter here in Edmonton and Regina. This has been the most mild winter since I left the west coast 5 years ago. Loving the sun in the flat lands though!!!!
I am not a Canuk but I've been up there for a long time. I always get asked to go for work, I work on putting up the wind turbines that you dont like to see. First trip was working for 5months in Ontario and the second go around was for 3months last year (same spot) And it sounds like I will be headed back up there next year and might be up there almost 9 months. I might as well get my citizenship.
Cool, well I give you the Buick Canadian Club initiation so you are pretty much one of us now! Were you surprised that all Canadians are addicted to Tim Hortons?
Toronto born, army, airforce for 30 years (41/2 helos from ships) crawlled thru the mud/snow sand shale and forests/ drove thru or flew over every corner of the country and a good chunk of the world - lived in Man /NS - Now retired in the Annapolis Valley NS.
Wow, thanks for your service! I did a lot of army cadet camping and volunteering around this great country. Every summer we took 1 month to travel from coast to coast as my relatives are in Newfoundland and I lived on Vancouver Island growing up. One of my favorite spots in Canada is in Ontario at the caves about 30 min from Hamilton Ontario. Another favorite spot is the top of Mount Benson in Nanaimo BC. I have to say though, I love the feeling in Kelowna BC, where the lakes are great and it is the best climate in Canada. Do you happen to have any Buick 350 heads? I have a friend in NS who needs a set of 350 heads.
Well I had become addicted to Timmy's when I was up there. I had never heard of Timmy's before I got up there and seen that there was one about every 3 blocks
I am Canadian and proud of it. Born and raised on a farm 18 miles east of Sarnia, On. Been in Windsor since 1974. About to retire!
Living in beautiful downtown Stittsville, a suburb of Canada's capital city, Ottawa, Ontario !! :beer :beer :TU:
