Can we get 25 cars together? (11 more cars needed!!!) We need you! 11 more cars needed!!! :3gears: :TU: In order to get the tent, you must pre-register here -- LINK -- You must also use BPG as the club name as well... The GM Nationals are coming up in Carlisle, Pa. from June 18 to June 20. To qualify to get a free tent, we would need 25 cars. I think it would be cool to show off our Buicks, and the Buick communities. I feel events like these are important because it does show vendors that there are people out there that would possibly buy there product plus its a good boost in getting people to see that Buick is not a dead whale floating in the sea. I would be willing to help get things organized. The GM Nationals is a big event here in the east... anyone interested? ATTENDING... Never been to Carlisle, what else is there to do there (the wife)...I may come up but its like 340 miles....be a good run for the 340 :Brow: ... let me know!
It is too bad that this meet is the same weekend as the BCA National meet in Plano Texas. I would like to come, but I am already committed to the BCA meet. Maybe next year.
Hershey is'nt too far from Carlisle.....you know, Hershey's Chocolate.....aka Chocolatetown, USA......it's a whole theme park!
LINK to the Carlisle Events -- LINK -- Hi James, Carlisle is a fairly big town with a lot of down-town shops. I suggest that if you come up this way, might want to take a day and travel over to Hershey to see the chocolate factory. Sunday would be a good day for that since the events wind down quite a bit. The grounds where all the events are held are big and it does take a good two days to look at everything. A good idea is to bring a wagon to haul things since there is a lot of walking. On the grounds there are many vendors that sell antiques of all kinds as well. I did notice on the Carlisle website that they will have a dyno there. I will be editing my first post on the number of cars coming...
John, You know i would be there if i had something drivable instead of a bunch of cars in piecesou: Great idea.. I might have to go out in buy something that runs and drives and join in.... Dustin
I would really like to see this happen. We all take a lot of pride and joy in our rides and with an event like this; it would be a great thing to do to show our dedication and support. I know I would love to see a Buick flag flying from our camp. I know there are couple people locally that have Buicks but are not on the board so I am going to see what I can do to gather some more people up to come. I just spoke to my brother (TuBBed) and its very possible that he will have his GS done by June. I am going to push to get my GS done so I might have both the GS and LeSabre under the tent. You can camp on the ground which is what I will probably do and it is $15 a night plus they do have showers on the grounds. I also noticed that Bortz Auto Collections will have a one of a kind 1953 Wildcat 1 there for show.
wow Wow, everything is going on that weekend. The BCA Nats in Texas and closer is the AACA Eastern Spring National in Hagerstown which I had already registered for.
HEY!!....now if I drive up there, is that part of PA a "deer free zone"??...my god y'all hit some deers up there!!...don't wants to hurt my Buick right off the bat ya know
James, I think you would be pretty safe in coming. The fair grounds are right off of interstate 81. I just called Carlisle and I will be getting a call back tomorrow in regards to the deadline. I do know that for this to happen, you do need to pre-register. Here is a link to pre-register -- LINK -- When you Pre-register you must enter a club name. Now... what club name are we going under? v8buick.com, BPG, etc ? Suggestions? I do know that everyone must use the same club name in order to get under the tent... Also, does anyone have a banner, flag, etc. we can display from the tent?
I don't think we should name it any of those for a club, since not everyone might not have a V8(V8buick) and not all people going are part of the BPG, so we should come up with a name that best describes our cars. I would think calling our group "Going Fast With Class" would be pretty neat What do all of you think? The more suggestions, the better:TU: Also, I will have my car done by then
25 How does it work? If you have 25 cars there one day does that count? I could probably get away for a day..... - Bill uzzled:
