I got it bad too! My car is in a storage unit and I actually drove over there just to look at it and make sure it was ok....kinda sad huh? I keep thinking how gas is cheap now and I can't even drive my gas guzzler and by the time summer comes around it will probably be back up to $4 a gallon.

   My daughter has a nice firebird that we put in storage at local farm. The guy has a big solid barn w/ great little shop inside concrete floors etc that he turned into an auto storage place. He charges $20/mo (how 'bout that) and has about 7 cars in there along witih a boat and old restored tractors. We went by yesterday and you wouldn't have been able to open the big doors w/o shoveling your way in! We couldn't even check! My 2 Buicks are in my garage and when she bought that one, we had to find a place. If things work out well, I might take all 3 up there and put my daily drivers inside mine. At that price how could you beat it? By the way, it's 8 degrees this morning at my place!

I pay $100 a month to store the Riv. The guy who owns the place is a car guy. A Ferrari club stores alot of their cars there along with a bunch of classics. It's a decent price for around here, I guess he just likes helping out other car guys.

I'm in Florida on vacation but heard it is in the teens today back at home. Can't wait to get the big old convertible out of the garage with the top down when it gets warm. These palm trees, bright sun and warmth are getting me ready for spring!

At least I can see I'm not alone judging by the comments! It's just getting hard to take. Our roads are white with road salt right now. PennDot sprays down a liquid brine to pretreat the roads before a storm and salts and cinders to keep the roads open. It has to happen or we wouldn't go anywhere, this I totally understand. My 2 Buicks are trapped until all that is over with. You really can't even take them out for service cause the pattern this winter has been frequent ice/snow events every couple of days. The ice/snow in my yard is frozen in hard crusty layers from each event. I try to keep busy during these months but working on little stuff just doesn't cut it. I really can't see getting my cars:( out until April at the earliest. After the snow and ice comes the relentless mud and runoff ends.

why would you need to take them out for service in the middle of winter? the logical thing to do is service the vehicles right before you put them away for the winter.

I'm switching out the Limited interior on my 79 Regal Turbo Coupe for hardback buckets and a floor console. The upolstery shop is the goal before cruise season starts. I got an origional red interior for my Regal including shifter, cable, steering column w/o provision for auto shifter and console to drop in. The driver seat needs a couple panels replaced and I am having a new rug installed too.
