It's snowing in Scranton, Pa right now and about 25 degrees out! I think I'm gonna die!!!!!!! Can't wait to bring the cars out again but it's gonna be about 3 months yet:(

You're not alone, it's about 10 degrees where I'm at. To ease the pain I started working on some old R/C cars I had laying around. Also have a 1:25th scale model to work on. Just something to keep the hands busy until it warms up. Good luck.:beer

Woke up to about 1/2 foot of snow w/ sleet mixed in just for fun, nice! In this kind of weather, I spend way too much time on the computer but you talk to quite a few folks and find lots of interesting forums. B:3gears: een on Car domain, V8 buick, gbody forum (have a turbo Regal too) and Turbo Buick webring and BPG website in the last 2 days. I want to go to the BPG Nationals if I can this summer! Looks like a good time!

Yeah, I saw some ugly pics on TV last night of Chicago area. Nice there though, was there last fall for work (Romeoville) for a few weeks and did the Navy Pier, took the water taxi over from Soldier Field/Museum area etc and downtown Chicago was nice!

Cabin fever is setting into my mind also! [IMG]

I am going out of my mind wanting to continue my body work, but really can't do anything until it's warmer.
Yesterday, I thought about stripping the paint off the insets of the sweepspear trim that runs down the side of the car, but can't do it in my basement because all the paint stripper I have is flammable.

Other projects cost money I don't have at the moment.

I'm the same way. I have a woodburner in the garage for heat, will make it 55 degrees in there on a cold day but I'll blow the place up if I try to paint anything. Oil furnace in the basement too, can't paint or strip anything therer either!!!!!! The older I get, the worse it affects me!

I have a wood stove in the garage too.
It will get it comfy, even t-shirt warm after several hours. But can't spray any primer, and the body of the car will be cold unless I were to set up a space heater right next to the section I was going to work on. Hassle.

I have waxed cars in the winter using that wood stove for heat.
Takes a long time for the wax to set up on the end of the car furthest from the stove.

Sounds like ya need just one more Buick, not to nice but not to bad where you look forward to plowing snow with your bumper and scaring small import when they see you try and stop.

I thought it was bad last weekend when we got 6 inches of snow and sleet but compared to the -8 degrees this morning, I guess it wasn't all that bad and tonight is gonna bring more of the same! NICE! I can't even see cruise season!!!!!!!!!!!

Could be worse, my Cats all apart and it's 78 here in So Cal, and I've had the whole week off. Our bad weather comes in July when its 93 in the middle of the night, just about the time I plan on having the car ready.

Been to SoCal a lot. Oxnard, Santa Paula, Malibu area for work. Good pick-a-part yards there too! Been there. Believe me, I'll take 93 w/ Santa Ana's any day over -10 ( what it was this morning) with a wind chill of -15. Cars struggle to start etc, My old Beretta GT actually died Thursday night, the plastic heater core (nice quality there) split at the outlet tube, dumped anti freeze all over at 1 degree above zero! Car was set for -30 antifreeeze so I know it didn't freeze up but had to go on a rescue mission to pick up my daughter at 10 pm w/ a dead car! Nice!

Coldest I've ever been was +3, just can't imagine what -30 would be. I'm inland from Santa Paula 20 or so miles and a short drive up Bouquet Cyn. The Santa Ana's have been blowing all week, I really get them here living in a canyon. Not to bad though I'm lucky to have a large lot that over looks Seco Canyon, It does help a bit after fighting the LA traffic.

    Be safe.

Cold here too, but the car's body work is almost done so I'm excited for warmer weather and taking the top down!

Oh you know its not the heat but the humidity.
Same with the cold. Our last cold snap that was only in the 20s was worse then this -12 cold snap. Very dry cold with no wind.
