It's not a GSX but a 72 GS 350. The picture makes it look better than it really is. The car's basically a waste. It's badly rusted around the front and rear windows. The frame is rusted trough, the floors are rusted through. Quarters are all bondo that's coming off. The fenders are typical rustiness. The hood is good and the bumpers need a rechrome. As rusty as this car is, it does have a solid core support. Amazing since my 54,000 70 GS 350 is rusted through in a couple spots under the battery. This car has about 190,000 miles and lived in western PA all its life.

Joe, make it new again. At the rate we're converting all the GS350s into 455s there won't be many matching numbers small blocks left once gas gets to $25 a gallon.

I got the pics of the 71GS before rust from Rob Bakewell. I think he was pres of the GS club for N Illinois before the Chicagoland Club was formed. I was mistaken on the years, it was 84-85 that the pic in my new av was taken, as opposed to 88 that I said before.

George... does the name Mike Wamsley ring a bell? I think it was him. Mike Shea possibly but I don't think so.

I'm actually sure that I'm insane for taking it on, but my morals just wouldn't let another big block car die!
