Just wanted to say we had a great time. Got to see and meet some new people and their cars. The race did get rained out at the end. Finally got to meet dubuick and 10 second 455. Sorry I didn't have more time to talk but running 2 cars was a lot of work. Finally got the procharged car dialed for 10.0 index. First pass 9.97 second 10.02 and third 9.95 on a 9.95 dial. All with between 4 and 5 pounds of boost. The announcer said the 1.55 sixty foot times are pretty lazy but what a top end charge. Thanks for all that showed up and hope everyone had fun. See ya at the next one. John jr
Was nice meeting you and your dad too, we'll have to do it again. My white car is coming out to play now.
Ya,you picked up 29 mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4!!!!(read it on my time slip)Turbo/supercharged cars usually do.My GN picks up around 25mph on that half of the track. BTW,I knew you would be running right on the number, tried to step it up and nail a good tree, and as you can see, -.025!!!!! (grey car right lane)
Glad you guys had fun. I'd like to come next year. Question RE 1/8-1/4 MPH gain. I gained 26 mph on a NA car on Saturday. Is something wrong with the first 1/8 mile?
We only had 34 Buicks running in the 3 classes which was alittle lighter then I thought would show up. The race was rained out after the first round & we decided to pay $100 to each racer that was still in competetion. Thanks again to everyone that attended & please thank our sponsors when you talk to them.
Hey Jeff I dont know how I missed you, I would have liked to see your car run. Good luck with the motor Herb
The racing was good while it lasted. Not too crowded and it's always a plus to have just the Buick bracket. Thanks to John and company for organizing. Great seeing all of you that I know and meeting all of you that I didn't know until until Saturday. In general, the group has some well built, nice looking, really quick cars. Pat
Thanks to John and I think Rob for organizing the event. :TU: I had a good time and got to meet a few new people. I also drove my car off the trailer and into the garage so I guess that helped to make it a good day. Also thanks again to Pat for the shroud.
Had a bit of noise coming from the rear after 1st time trial, pulled the center section out and found a few chunks missing from the pinion gear. New gears on order should be back in business next week.
Rob, Go figure, the only Ford part on your car & it broke just like Doug's. Jr's Skyhawk has a 12 bolt & we usually change the gears after 400-500 runs to be safe & the Procharged Skylark has the factory 10 bolt 8.5! We will see how long that will last. I think Jr put a used set of 3:73's in there. Thanks again for setting up & sponsoring the Lebanon Meet:TU:
David, you should send that picture to Car Craft. They have been asking for "air" for a long time with not many people submitting pictures. Very cool picture.
