Would like to see dyno results with a different air cleaner setup, the one on there look neat but doesn't look like it flows very good.

It was the only design I could use that allowed me to fit everything under the hood. Out of curiosity, how much power do you think it's losing because of the air intake setup?

The car is probably around 2300 lbs so it should be more than adequate but I am going to drive it for a bit before making any more changes...it's been sitting in my garage for way too long!

A small blip of the throttle in my driveway yesterday in first gear resulted in a big patch of rubber on the pavement. Should be fun but costly in terms of tires!

I didn't say it didn't run awesome for what its in, but with what looks like a very restricted air intake for 350 cid that combined with the extra 4* of advance is making the engine peak a bit soon and is giving you more low end. You actually need to kill some of that low end or get a taller rear gear to reduce your tire bills. LOL I could be wrong because I'm not familiar of the flow characteristics of that air cleaner setup, what is it rated for?

Do they make that air cleaner with the filter on the other side? If they do maybe you can make it a dual snorkel? On the dyno you can test the car with the hood up so you can try a conventional air cleaner to see if it does make a big difference?

It's a custom made intake because nothing off the shelf would fit under the hood.

I have to go back for my final tuning either later this fall or next year so maybe I'll try a run without the intake on.

I have quite high gearing in the car right now but you're right, I might drop the torque down and raise the HP once I get a chance to put some miles on it.

Chris is very meticulous and his car shows it. He's been driving it now for a bit and seems pretty happy with it. He went back to a steel flywheel and says it's very easy to drive but is a bit monstrous when he hits the gas. Beautiful car.
